Further strengthening our partnership with the Indore Software Association, we recently organized a panel discussion on 'Fund raising by software companies and tech start-ups - GIFT City vs SEZ' and 'Optimizing forex management' in Indore. Mr. Sanjeev Agrawal (CFO & CHRO of Impetus Technology), Mr. Rakesh Bhojnagarwala (Executive Vice President and Regional Branch Banking Head – Axis Bank), Mr. Mahesh Muchhal (Vice President – Axis Bank IBU, GIFT City), and Mr. Prabhanjan Wandrekar (Senior Vice President and Business Head – Retail & Trade Forex – Axis Bank) were part of the panel and they discussed the various aspects of challenges and solutions for start-ups in the global market and forex management for tech companies among other things. While attending college, I started tutoring students to support myself. Then COVID hit, and classes went online. I took on a job at a law firm, earning barely enough, but I kept pushing. I became a Relationship Manager, handling the pressures of the job while studying for banking exams in the mornings and after long workdays. Within two years, I was one of the top performers in the country, earning a perfect rating and a promotion. Then came a defining moment: I got into Axis Bank’s AHEAD talent program, shifting from branch banking to a corporate role. My salary tripled, but more importantly, my career transformed and I now work with the treasury department. And I’m not done yet, I'm only 24 - the only way from here is up." - Karan Pherwani
