When I started my career at Allcargo as a management trainee, it felt like the beginning of an adventure. With an MBA in Human Resources, stepping into the logistics sector was a bold new challenge I was eager to take on. My journey began in Talent Acquisition, where I spent four years sharpening my skills in identifying and hiring the right talent for the company. The hard work and dedication paid off when Allcargo, known for fostering internal growth, offered me an opportunity to step up as a Business HR for four of their divisions. This was just the beginning of a series of incredible opportunities. One of the most significant milestones was managing Global Payroll for the APAC region and working on performance management and senior leadership recruitment for Allcargo’s international entity, ECU Worldwide. The company’s open-door policy and approachable leadership were so instrumental in helping me grasp the business fundamentals and achieve meaningful results. I firmly believe that with the right attitude and a willingness to prove oneself, opportunities naturally come. My career growth at Allcargo is a testament to this belief. The recognition I received through the Internal Job Posting (IJP) system validated my contributions. Celebrating Allcargo’s 25th and 30th anniversaries, "Jashn" was a highlight for me. Here, we got to witness how our hard work has materialized into the company's growth. I am deeply grateful to my mentors here for guiding me to accelerate my growth. Here’s a Peek into our Initiatives: Skill development centre: the Allcargo Skill Development Center (ASDC), run in collaboration with JNPA-CIDCO, at Uran and Belapur, Maharashtra, offers market-relevant courses in logistics and allied fields. The training at ASDC combines theoretical and practical components with a 40:60 ratio, ensuring students gain hands-on industry experience. Skill Development Programs: We offer hands-on training in IT, logistics, and soft skills to help young people become job-ready. Strategic Partnerships: By teaming up with the JNPA-CIDCO and various NGO partners we deliver top-notch training to a wider pool of youth. Real-World Experience: Our programs feature guest lectures, industrial visits, and fun in-house activities to provide real-world exposure. Recently some students from the Allcargo Skill Development Center successfully completed an internship at Allcargo Terminal’s CFS JNPT. Job Opportunities: Our training has opened up a lot of job prospects for the youth, helping them achieve economic independence and personal growth. Seeing how empowered these youngsters feel armed with skills to forge a better future for themselves and their families, is truly rewarding.
