Pandemic brought multiple challenges in medical education, patient care, safety of staff and students and also disruption of research work and funding. However, AIIMS Jodhpur handled all hurdles very smoothly thanks to our visionary Director Dr Sanjeev Misra and strategic planning that we were able to call back our MBBS students back to clinics as early as July 2020. This was possible due to strategic screening on arrival and on 7th day. COVID19 positive students were isolated and those who were symptomatic were managed in the hospital. Even during lockdown, AIIMS Jodhpur continued to provide education through online classes. We also utilized "Reverse Telemedicine" where patients are in hospital and students in hostel were able to meet patients, took history provide counseling- all in the presence of preceptors. Clinical skills were enhanced without compromising on safety from infection. Patient care also continued uninterrupted through IVRS, telemedicine and emergency for needy.

AIIMS Jodhpur care for patient with difficult conditions and diagnosis. Institute has carried out nearly 38 Renal transplants and live donor liver transplants which is first among all the AIIMS in the country. AIIMS Jodhpur celebrated the 75th Republic Day with full patriotism. Faculty, students and staff participated in the flag hoisting conducted by Prof M K Garg. To add the to the current sentiments of nationalism, Ms Kavita Suthar rangoli depicting Ayodhya Ram Mandir hue, national emblem, air-force, navy and military with national symbols- tree, animal and flower was mesmerizing. Dedicated to nation!
