About us
Established in 1996 as a tribute to the ideals of late Smt. Shantaba and late Shri Shantilal Adani, the Adani Foundation stands for the values of courage, trust and commitment. What began in a few rural communities around Mundra port, Gujarat, has now expanded to 18 states in India, going far beyond the regions where Adani Group companies are functioning. Adopting an approach that embodies innovation, people participation and collaboration with key stakeholders, the Adani Foundation is achieving inclusive growth and bringing about sustainable development, thereby contributing towards nation building. As we respond to the emerging needs at grassroots level, our teams are focused on aligning all activities with the global Sustainable Development Goals, striving to secure a hopeful future for millions.

The #AdaniFoundation is committed to promoting chemical-free agriculture to safeguard soil nutrients and health of people. In this course, we have facilitated the setting up of a Farmers' Producer Organisation (FPO) in Minjur block of Tiruvallur (Tamil Nadu) to benefit more than 300 farmers. The centre was inaugurated by Dr Abhishek Lakhtakia, CEO of the Adani Foundation. The FPO will promote organic farming towards ensuring that villages which are covered under this eventually become chemical-free villages. It will also help member farmers with agricultural machinery, equipment, bio-inputs and bio-inoculants such as Panchakaviya, Jeevamirtha, Fish Ammino Acid, etc.

The #AdaniFoundation’s Meri Sangini Meri Margdarshika project is helping increase the uptake of government’s schemes by engaging village volunteers, known as Sanginis, to help eligible persons in rural communities leverage these schemes. In this #MeriChitthi, 80-year-old farmer Hindu Ram from Bant village (Rajasthan) is expressing his gratitude to Kamala Kumari, a Sangini, for guiding him through the necessary paperwork to reinstate his pension, which had been on hold for over a year. We are deeply touched by his gesture.
