Are ICON - Israel Collaboration Network startups a supreme cohort of companies? Analysis of the last 5 batches - SV 12 until today. TL:DR - Sign me up as an LP please 🙂 (I just need to become wealthy first). Get the full free list in the link at the end of the post. Following the participation of some great friends in the program and their incredible feedback, I had to dive deeper and run the numbers (shoutout to Yonatan, Yosef, Gilad). 37 companies in the list, 2 are still in stealth. Let’s go! Most recurring investors? TLV Partners, Entrée Capital, Jibe Ventures. Many companies also took part in the Intel Ignite accelerator. 5 companies have been acquired (nice one Ron!) - Entitle, Easyway, Silk Security, Eureka Security, EverySQL. *Excluding them from my analysis going forward. Company sizes by headcount:  🥚 Small (0-15) - 15, 46.87%  🐣 Medium (16 - 35) - 12, 37.5% 🐥 Large (36 ) - 5, 15.63% Fastest growing companies YoY in employees for each category: 🥇Opti AI (Small). 🥇Miggo Security (Medium) - Nice Daniel! 🥇OX Security (Large). All growing in high double to triple digits in headcount %. Makes sense since these are relatively early stage companies.  💵 Ludeo leads the list with the most funding to-date, totaling $42M raised. 💚 10 companies disclosed funding in the last 12 months.  💛 11 companies haven’t disclosed new funding in 12-24 months.  🧡 11 companies haven’t disclosed new funding in 24 months. An American Fund Raised $160 Million to Invest in Israeli Startups Flint Capital, a Boston-based firm, closed a VC fund totalling $160 million. The raised fund will help early-stage Israeli and European startups in cybersecurity, fintech, digital health, enterprise SaaS, and B2C entering the American market. The new fund will invest in 25 companies with Israeli founders, Israeli pre-seed VC funds, and European startups. Flint Capital has three unicorns in its portfolio, one of them is the Israeli one - WalkMe. It has also invested in Israeli companies CyberX (acquired by Microsoft) and Voca.ai (acquired by Snap). “Israeli entrepreneurs are some of the most resilient people in the world. Now more than ever, Flint Capital is committed to investing in the next generation of Israeli founders. Is the Israeli business community truly ready for high-achieving Haredi professionals to take leadership roles in the tech ecosystem? We are, as Safra-Tech’s mission is to integrate Haredi professionals into the tech ecosystem, with a focus on #entrepreneurship and #startups We're not merely asking how we can slot Haredi workers into low-level roles… we're asking a far more ambitious question: How can we make Haredi society a key stakeholder in the tech ecosystem? It’s not about individual Haredi employees entering the tech world… it’s about a shift in Israeli society’s perspective, becoming key influencers and decision-makers, and having the ability to progress, to secure better jobs, and to make a real impact This is a wake-up call, not just for Haredi society, but also for the wider Israeli business community. As an example, the current #VC scene (which drives tech) in Israel is centralized, steeped in a Tel Aviv culture that brings with it its own mindset and politics To effect real change, we need to alter the landscape itself Aside from giving it lip service, does Israeli society truly want integration? Is the business sector ready for Haredi professionals to become C-level executives, managers, and policy influencers? If the answer is no, then we need to ask ourselves why… Why are we content with Haredi employees occupying low-level roles, but not decision-making positions? To catalyze progress, we need outside investors who understand the need for change, who are willing to provide the financial backing necessary to make this vision a reality. This cannot be left to the same players who have dominated the scene so far.
