This evening, we’ll mark Memorial Day (Yom Hazikaron) for Israel's fallen soldiers and the victims of terrorism. Each year, this date is difficult, but it seems that this year is even more, because we’re in the midst of a difficult war that has lasted over 7 months and every day claims more victims. We extend our gratitude to Yadin Gellman, who recently shared his harrowing experiences of the events on October 7th. Yadin, a heroic fighter from an elite unit, bravely defended kibbutzim in the Gaza Envelope. Tragically, his teammate was killed and Yadin was critically injured. As we honor their memory today, we hope for the safe return of our hostages and our soldiers on the front lines. We will continue to remember, commemorate, and pray for their swift return home. Tomorrow evening will mark the end of Yom Hazikaron, and the beginning of Yom Haaztmaut, our Independence Day. A day which contrasts dramatically but celebrates the resilience and unity of our beautiful country. Am Israel Chai!!!

Today, we’re marking Holocaust Remembrance Day and honoring the memory of the millions of Jewish victims who were murdered just for being Jewish. The Holocaust serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of hatred, prejudice, and discrimination. This year, unfortunately, Holocaust Remembrance Day is overshadowed by the war. While we are hurting, sad, and feeling the weight of our losses, we must continue and say: never again!
