Today, July 25th, we celebrate the Day of the Afro-Latina, Afro-Caribbean, and Diaspora Women. This day is dedicated to recognizing and honoring the struggles and achievements of Black women in our region. The date was established in 1992 during the 1st Meeting of Afro-Latin American and Afro-Caribbean Women in Santo Domingo. It is a moment to increase visibility of the issues faced by these women and to promote racial and gender equality. Let’s use this day to reflect on the importance of diversity and inclusion in our workplace and in society as a whole. We want to have a workplace that is known, internally and externally, for fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable culture. We thank our women and  black & pardo  Wilders ERG, Women and Wild Panthers, for so much uplifting of our black & pardo women and acknowledge the need to keep taking steps every day in order to build a stronger community.  Together, we can make a difference!

Earlier this week, Financial Times highlighted Tennis Clash's partnerships with the 4 Grand Slams, the International Tennis Federation, the Association of Tennis Professionals, and the Women's Tennis Association. The recent Roland-Garros electronic tournament saw over 7 million games played, showcasing its massive popularity. Tennis Clash is playing an important role in democratizing tennis, making it accessible to a broader audience. We are proud of Tennis Clash's contribution to the growth of the sport and its increased reach to new audiences. https://lnkd.in/dfT4_z_A

As Pride Month comes to a close, it's essential to reflect on the significance of June 28th, a day that marks the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots in 1969. This pivotal moment in LGBTQIAP history ignited the fight for equality and laid the groundwork for the progress we see today. Here at Wildlife Studios, we are proud to celebrate Pride Month and recognize the importance of fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for everyone. Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) play a crucial role in this mission, proposing and organizing actions related to diversity and inclusion. During Pride Month, we implemented initiatives such as Learning Pills, where we shared important elements from the community with the entire company, and hosted a Happy Hour to celebrate this moment. We are thrilled to see the amazing work that ERGs are doing. The ERGs' work does not end at Pride Month; we have an important mission to ensure that diversity, inclusion, and equality are upheld and celebrated throughout the entire year and beyond LGBTQIAP community. By continuing to advocate, educate, and support our colleagues and allies, we strive to create a workplace where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued every single day. We want every Wilder to feel part of a culture of belonging within the workplace. Last year, we raised awareness about Allies, highlighting their crucial role in the community and providing guidance on how to become one. This year, we are focusing on representativity in gaming. We also successfully launched the character Faye from Zooba, representing a strong trans character, as part of our ongoing commitment to the community. We are dedicated to continuing this work and ensuring that our games reflect the rich diversity of our society.

Wildlife is completing 13 years this month. Everything started within a living room, two brothers, a penguin and a wish to create fun games. We believe playing is a fundamental human need, and in fact, it's even deeper than that. Playing is a defining characteristic of  life. Animals play together to learn how to interact with each other. We do it to learn about our environment, about other people and also about ourselves. When we play we understand how to interact with others, how we feel in different situations, what makes us happy, what makes us sad. Play is life concentrated. Around 2010 smartphones emerged and became an important change in people's lives. The human capacity was now extended by a computer and everyone was connected. Wildlife was born to serve the human need to play in this new space. In the past 13 years, we have launched over 60 games, our games have been downloaded over 3,5 billion times. In the past two years, our players spent the equivalent to over 270 thousand years playing our games. Tennis clash have been played for over 100 million people - more people have played Tennis Clash than people who play the sport in real life. From Antarctica to the Gilded Gardens, we have worked, learned, laughed and had lots of fun in the past 13 years . But it's just the beginning. We liberate and elevate game creators to help the world play, learn, and interact. And it will be the adventure of our lives to do it together.

Yesterday, we welcomed 3 new interns here at Wildlife. We hosted a brainstorming session with our Wildpets and here are their ideas: Rex and Lili are our newest Tennis Clash interns. They are currently collaborating on a new feature that will enable dogs to join players on the court. They firmly believe that dogs should be allowed everywhere, particularly on the tennis court, to support their owners. They also believe treats should be free on Tennis Matches. Tino is our Creative Art intern. He's been developing a new Zooba character, a chihuahua that, instead of wielding guns, relies on ankle bites as its main power. If you have any name suggestions, please feel free to comment below. Tino is advocating for naming the Zooba chihuahua in his honor. Unfortunately, Panda couldn't make it to the session. He had a long morning walk with his furry pals and couldn't make it to the office in the afternoon. He'll catch up on his ideas later this week. #mywildjourney #wildpets
