This Summer, Wevo Energy Saved the Grid $432,000,000 Want to learn how? 👇 Our EV charging management system is deployed at over 600 apartment buildings in Israel. In the summer, our system automatically avoids charging at peak hours (17:00 to 23:00), which reduces tenants' electrical bills and helps stabilize the grid. The chart below shows the aggregated electricity consumption across 600 buildings with over 7000 installed chargers on one specific day last week (noon to noon). We were able to curtail 60MW for six peak hours. Doing this with a grid-side battery would require a 360MWh battery, estimated at $432,000,000. We are proud to support our drivers, who can easily charge at off-peak rates and help stabilize the grid.
