Update on “perfecting our delivery experience” mission - July edition We’ve recently launched this new tracking page where it sends our customers real-time tracking updates (picture #1). The goals behind this are: ✅transparency  ✅a decrease in buyers remorse  ✅reduced customer inquiries about order status (WISMO) ✅higher likelihood of repeat purchase Now usually tracking gives you locations on where your package is But personally, I don’t care about that – I’m looking for an estimated delivery date so I know when I’m getting it So instead of only showing ETA on the orders that had a delivery promise in checkout, we’re pulling it from carrier tracking data so everyone gets an ETA. And the tracking page has its own dedicated LP and customers can find it through their Shopify confirmation link. But let’s say a promise was made and it’s looking like we’re a little delayed… This then gives us an opportunity to catch these delays and make them right before they lead to potential order cancellations. So what we do is we offer a coupon as an apology (picture #2) If you made a promise you may not be able to keep, giving a coupon can help stop them from canceling, keeping them happy, keeping them loyal, and they’ll keep coming back. If you haven’t been following this thread series, we’ve been using PrettyDamnQuick to help us with it all. It’s been a breeze because of them and they’ve been extremely proactive in optimizing and getting this feature out.

Introducing: PDQ's segments 2.0 💥 You can now set up unique checkouts for any hyper-specific segment, complete with a set of delivery methods, offers, upsells, messaging, and more. The possibilities are endless, for example: Want your OG buyers in NY to order more express deliveries? Just incentivize it. Want to convert more first timers in LA? Give them more trust signals. The best part? Don't just guess what works: A/B test to see which checkout performs best, even per segment. Review the data. Keep what works. Learn from what doesn't.

Did you know that, on average, 20% of customers abandon their checkout after entering their shipping address? Here are the top 4 reasons why: 1. Unexpected shipping or tax costs typically adding 10-20% to the total. 2. Lack of a clear delivery promise or delivery times that are too slow and don’t meet customer expectations. 3. Last-minute hesitation about product quality and the need to read reviews on third-party sites. 4. Searching for discount codes to apply. Here are some strategies the top brands are using to reduce abandonment: 1. Segment your abandonment data to find the most profitable customer LTV cohort and offer those cohorts additional incentives to complete checkout, such as reduced shipping or a special discount. The goal is to reduce any last-minute hesitation. 2. Show a clear delivery promise based on carrier and 3PL processing times. Offer appealing expedited options for those needing your product faster. 3. Show trust badges from external sources to first-time customers only. Users tend not to trust reviews without third-party validation (https://lnkd.in/d63UX7DH). Returning customers already know your product, so the valuable real estate can be reclaimed. As always, remember to A/B test your changes to measure the impact.

Introducing: Our new tracking pages!📍🙌 It's a tracking page, but awesome and already built right into your checkout to delivery workflow. To be honest, we always thought tracking pages were overrated, after all, if you're delivering on time, every time, they seem unnecessary. But we've come to learn that people *really* like 'em. So we launched our own branded tracking page builder. In addition to sharing an order’s delivery progress and ETA (even for multi-parcel orders), you can offer discount coupons if an order is running late.

"[PDQ] allowed us to handle volume and speed efficiently, especially during high-demand periods, which was something we struggled with before." - Gustavo Cardona, VP of Tech @ Levain Bakery It might sound strange but I'm really excited about all the new brands we've onboarded since last year's holiday season that are going to experience BFCM with PDQ this year. Seriously, it's hard to overstate just how vital PrettyDamnQuick is for high-volume ecom brands, especially during BFCM. Read the entire case study with Levain here >> https://lnkd.in/d9PqBVG8
