To all my network, i'm looking for a Junior Sales Development Representative in Paris for Nilos. Remote possible with Tel Aviv. No prior tech experience required ; just the willingness to work hard ; do cold calls, cold emails and learn how to sell effectively. If you know someone ; ping me - also open to recommendation from recruiters Thanks!

Prediction : Payments will be disrupted by a crypto player in the same way WhatsApp disrupted telcos 10 years ago 20 years ago ; if I wanted to call from France to the US - this was the process : 1. Initiating - Dial international code and recipient phone number  2. Routing - Call was routed through a series of telecom switches, including international gateway exchanges and intermediary carriers directing it to the telecom operator of the recipient's country  3. Transmitting - The call was transmitted through physical infrastructure via optic cables or satellite links 4. Completing - the call reaches the recipient's telecom operator and is directed to the recipient's phone It was slow and expensive. Then WhatsApp came along and disrupted this market - today almost no one with 3G access use international dials. In payments, TODAY, If I want to send money from France to the US - this is the process 1. Initiating - Enter’s recipient info and SWIFT details  2. Routing - banking transfer request is routed through various intermediary banks, correspondent banks, and international payment networks 3. Transmitting - transfer instructions are transmitted electronically through SWIFT 4. Completing - banking transfer reaches the recipient's bank, where the funds are credited to the recipient's account Looks like the same to me It’s still slow and expensive. Crypto is called the Internet of Money Does it mean that most of the disruption brought by the internet can also apply to money? Yep So, International payments is next. Nilos PS: Thanks Philippe for inspiring this post

🤯 FROM 0 TO 1 M$ IN A BEAR MARKET - HOW WE DID IT WITH Nilos 1. Lean team (14 ppl) with experienced profiles You need high agency, flexible, hands-on, autonomous, competent and reflexive enough people that follow your pivots while staying critical and think by themselves. You also need to think of the team as a system where the system is worth more than the sum of the individual parts with ppl on-site - we couldn't have done it in full-remote. 2. Being resilient and iterate over direction/pricing/product constantly People in bull markets tend to focus on building a product rather than building a business. Working under pressure in a bear forces you to review your position and avoid the “sunk cost” bias. In poker, every new card implies a reassessment of the situation. 3. Invest in on a strong customizable back office to scale onboarding and ops - we use Retool That’s a product in itself. We’ve spent so much time building this to organize, automate payments, manage alerts, link databases, generate reports, manage invoicing… It's mandatory if you’re thinking about scaling. 4. Sales automated acquisition channels - we use data-crawlers, Upwork, Zapier & Pipedrive This one took us the most time. We explored every acquisition channel you can think about only to realize it was the value proposition that wasn’t strong enough. Once we understood that we doubled down on where those targets were, created a process to generate constant leads and let our sales team focus on actually selling.  Anyway, now BTC is at 70k$ :) Enjoy
