If you’re signing off earlier on Fridays, this one’s for you: According to The Wall Street Journal, not only do shorter Fridays spent OOO loosen up our workload, but they could potentially be good for productivity. Another win for remote and flexible work 💼 👏 A study cited by Nick Bloom in the article notes that employees that worked remotely on Wednesdays and Fridays over the course of 6 months worked two hours less than those in the office full-time, and made up for it during the rest of the week. They also “took 15% fewer days off for sick leave and other absences, and their performance scores and promotion rates were the same as those of other workers.” Vanessa Fuhrmans' piece outlines a clear reality: RTO policies and working in-office full time isn’t cutting it anymore.
