🎯 Our CrackSense partners, Smart Farming Technology Group - Agricultural University of Athens & PEGASUS AGRIFOOD COOP - 7Grapes, contribute significantly to our efforts in managing the risk of fruit cracking! 🌱 As part of our collective mission, they recently embarked on a pilot field visit to a table grape field in Kiato, Greece. At present, they are: 🔬 Experimenting with different irrigation methods, minerals, and plant growth regulators (PGRs) to study their effects on table grape fruit cracking. 🛰️Initiating ground-based measurements to evaluate how spatial and temporal environmental variables impact cracking intensity. 📊 Leveraging remote sensing technology, including active and passive UAV-based sensing, to assess tree health, yield, and estimate fruit cracking. 🍇 This comprehensive approach aims to enhance our understanding and management of fruit cracking in table grapes.    👩🔬 The visit included Georgia Nikolakopoulou, Thanos Dritsopoulos, Helenos Konstantinos Grivakis, Katerina Kantari, and Emiliano Retzo. #CrackSenseProject #FruitCrackingResearch #InnovationInAgriculture #HorizonEurope #ResearchImpactEU
