The Master (MAgrSc) in Agricultural Innovation Support aims to equip graduates with the skills and knowledge to be effective in building the capacity of farmers to adopt new practices and technologies. The experience gained on this programme equips students well for future roles in advisory services, technical consultancy and education delivery.

The Master (MAgrSc) in Agricultural Innovation Support aims to equip graduates with the skills and knowledge to be effective in building the capacity of farmers to adopt new practices and technologies. The experience gained on this programme equips students well for future roles in advisory services, technical consultancy and education delivery.

The research project carried out under this masters programme was entitled 'The Use of Local Radio in Knowledge Transfer; assessment of current practice and establishment of online podcasts as a means of KT support'. This involved delivering a farming slot on Midwest Radio each evening while also trialing podcasts for Teagasc. While carrying out my research I also worked as an agricultural adviser in Teagasc, Ballina Co. Mayo.
