Still buzzing from such a special evening in The Crann Centre with local legends The Frank and Walter’s bringing banging tunes and chilled vibes to the Accessible Playground and Leisure Area last night. Great going to Padraig Mallon and the whole team for making it happen and in particular Tara and Aisling who run a truly unique Social Capital programme of inclusive, fun and supported events and activities for all our clients and families. Thanks to Rethink Ireland, Community Foundation Ireland for kindly backing brilliant events like these and all our partners and playground donors for making this amazing outdoor accessible space a reality. Really great to meet Cillian Fleming at The Crann Centre yesterday. On August 26th Cillian will undertake the Sur les Traces des Ducs de Savoie (TDS for short) in aid of Crann!! It’s a 145km race with 9200M of elevation gain across the Alps. It starts in France and passes through Italy and Switzerland before returning back to France. We are all in awe!!!!. Cillian works at J&J Innovative Medicine Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) where his colleagues have been super supportive of his fundraising. We are delighted to have J&J as a corporate partner. . We wish Cillian the very best and thank him for supporting our 2Generation Model of Care for families living with neuro-physical disabilities. If you would like to support him here is a link to his JustGiving page https://bit.ly/4femR5L

Last week, Crann welcomed donors from around the world as part of The Ireland Funds Worldwide Conference 2024. It was a unique opportunity to demonstrate the importance and impact of our whole family 2Generation approach, and donors met families attending services to hear their first-hand experience. The Ireland Funds’ impactful investment in Crann include funding unique birdwatching hides at our accessible conservation site in Kanturk, and direct funding for day-to-day services. Padraig Mallon "We are very grateful to have support from the Ireland Funds Heart of The Community Fund for our 20 acre accessible conservation space and for our programmes. It was a great opportunity to show the impact of this support with the very people who make it possible. We thank Catriona, Siobhán, Nicky, Emma and all the team for how they have engaged and encouraged us in recent years and for the opportunity to be part of an inspiring 3 day event.” #LetsGrowTogether

Yesterday was a fantastic day of learning and exploration at Conservation at Crann with RTE Broadcaster Eanna Ní Lamhna! Eanna guided the group through the area, identifying and sharing fascinating insights about the plants and beautiful flowers they saw. 🌱🌿 The adventure continued down to the pond, where the group had an exciting time identifying various types of pond life, bugs, and plants. Along the way the group was able to use the Wanderly App, which brings the animals who call this space their home to life and enhances the experience! They visited the bird watching area to try to spot some of the local feathered friends. To wrap up a gorgeous day, the children enjoyed colouring in animal-shaped masks together. Thank you to Rethink Ireland and the Local Authority Waters Programme for making such wonderful events possible for our clients and community. #LetsGrowTogether
