Did you know the average person checks their phone 96 times a day - that's once every 10 minutes?! With Smartphone addiction playing a significant role in mental health issues like anxiety, stress, and depression, it’s more important than ever to monitor your screentime. By switching to a "dumb phone", you can help cut distractions, lower stress, and improve focus. You’ll spend less time scrolling and more time on what’s actually in front of you, (yes we know that’s harder than it sounds.) It’s about creating balance and using technology more intentionally. Sure, we all love a scroll on social media, but when it becomes the default whenever you’re bored, that is when it becomes a problem. Read the full article on our website and learn more about the Pitstop App and how it can help you set better habits below. https://lnkd.in/duQXJcZV

Meet Craig 🤝 In his words: “Busy executive. Entrepreneur. Tired, blamed it on too busy mental exhaustion etc. Running 2 companies. 59... Hmm is this what getting old feels like? I have type II Diabetes so do quarterly blood work but Testosterone is not a standard test. I ASKED my physician for a test (Men need to take more responsibility for their health physical as well as mental and not just suck it up or write it off etc.) Outcome is I have topical cream, been using for 3 months and feel much better and morelike myself. ALL because of the promoting and taking a Pitstop for myself as well as reading the resource about Testosterone in the app. Sounds touchy feely, but taking care of myself is also helping those around me. Better husband, better dad, better boss. Thanks Pitstop!” Huge thanks to Craig Dickens for sharing this and being so transparent about his struggles with something that’s still such a taboo subject. Take the leap like Craig and enjoy a 7 day free trial of our app below https://lnkd.in/dwC9-93r #testosterone #wellbeing #menshealth #selfdevelopment

Did you know that 1/3rd of your life is spent at work? Another 3rd is spent sleeping, so once it’s all added up, it doesn’t leave much time for everything else. It can be easy to think that spending less time at work and focusing on other things can automatically bring satisfaction, but for men particularly, having a sense of purpose and progression is so important to overall wellbeing. With it being International Week of Happiness at Work this week, here’s some of our top tips for staying happy at work. - Build positive relationships with your colleagues Take time to talk with others about their lives and interests. Try to find someone who can mentor you or offer to mentor someone.
 - Create a proper work life balance and set boundaries Don’t skip on taking time off, ensure you’re taking breaks and not overworking. It’s important to recognise rest can be just as productive.
 - Focus on personal growth Set tasks that align with your personal and career goals, this will give you something to work towards. Don’t be afraid to learn new skills and continue to learn but also reflect on how far you have come. Improve further on your personal and career growth with our app, take the 7 day free trial below! https://lnkd.in/dtfYNB63 #personaldevelopment #menshealth #happinessatworkweek

Struggling to build new habits? Prioritising smaller, incremental changes, Atomic Habits by James Clear gives you practical strategies for breaking old, bad habits and replacing them with better ones. There’s a reason it’s one of our most popular bite sized content pieces in our app 📚 Here’s some top tips from the book to help you in your journey to grow. * Make your new habit so simple that it takes just two minutes to do. For example, if you want to start exercising, begin by doing just two minutes of a workout. Starting small reduces friction and resistance, making it easier to stick to the habit.
 * Instead of setting a goal like "I want to run a marathon," focus on becoming the type of person who runs regularly: "I am a runner.” Shifting your identity helps you internalise the habit as part of who you are, not just something you do.
 * Attach a new habit to an existing habit (habit stacking). For example, "After I brush my teeth, I will meditate for one minute." Leveraging existing routines makes it easier to remember and execute new habits. * Simplify your habits by reducing the number of steps or effort required. For example, if you want to eat healthier, prepare healthy snacks in advance. By lowering the barrier to action, you increase the likelihood that you will stick with the habit.
 * Use a habit tracker or a simple calendar to mark each day you complete the habit. Visual tracking creates a satisfying sense of progress and helps maintain motivation. * If you miss a day, get back on track immediately. The goal is not to be perfect but to be consistent. Missing once is an accident, but missing twice is the start of a new habit (or lack thereof). Which of these will you be adding into your new routine? Download our app and get help in building your new habits below https://lnkd.in/dtfYNB63 #atomichabits #newhabits

From discussing the difference between acute and long term stress and top tips for staying balanced at work, why burnout is such a buzzword in todays work environment and why the hustle and self development culture we’re in at the moment needs to change, there’s plenty of insight and wisdom to take away from Ben’s experience! What does your morning routine look like? They say if you win the morning you win the day, but what does that actually look like? To tell you the truth, it looks different for everyone, there is no right or wrong way to do it when it comes to finding the right morning routine. But that being said, there are some things that are better than others (Clue, spending 40 minutes scrolling social media with the curtains still closed isn’t the best way to start a day 😅) Here’s some of our top tips to ensure you’re starting the day on a good path 👊 Wake Up Early  * Normally get up at 8? Try getting up at 7. Normally get up at 7? Try getting up at 6. You don’t need to immediately change your routine, but giving yourself extra time in the morning to complete tasks will be felt throughout the entire day, as well as helping you get to sleep that night.
Hydrate Immediately * And no, not a coffee. Drink a large glass of water right after waking up to kickstart your metabolism and rehydrate your body after a night's rest.
Make your bed  * This gives you an instant hit of satisfaction and helps you to set up your day correctly.
Keep your phone out of your bedroom * This will stop it being your first point of contact in the morning, instead leave it in the kitchen/living room so you can complete some tasks before you check it.
Journaling or planning * Spend a few minutes journaling or planning your day. Write down your goals, priorities, and tasks. Also reflect on what you're grateful from the previous day to help set a positive tone. Tackle your most important tasks first * Start working on your most important task of the day. Prioritising this early ensures that you make progress on what's truly important, even if the rest of the day gets busy. Ultimately the most important thing is to build a routine that works for you and that you can be consistent with. It’s all well and good optimising everything but not if it only lasts for a week! Gain guidance, become more accountable and have a coach in your pocket for personal growth with our app. Start your free trial and find out more below https://lnkd.in/dtfYNB63

World Suicide Prevention Day No, today isn’t the only day we should give a sh*t about this, but it’s crucial to have these days to raise awareness. You’ve seen the statistics, but what are some of the signs that someone you know and care about may be suicidal? Keep an eye out for: 👉 Expressions of hopelessness: Statements like ""What's the point?"" or ""Things will never get better."" 👉 Extreme sadness or despair: Persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, or emotional pain. 👉 Feelings of worthlessness or guilt: Expressing feelings of being a burden to others or feeling trapped. 👉 Neglecting personal care: Poor hygiene, changes in appearance, or disregard for personal health. If you suspect someone in your life is feeling suicidal, it’s important to reach out and let them know you’re there, ready to talk, and that they are valued, loved, and importantly, not a burden. If you are suffering in silence, know there is no shame in it. People in your life care, they want you here, and it’s okay to reach out to loved ones, friends, and seek professional help. It doesn’t make you weak or less of a man. As someone wise once said, “I’d rather listen to you talk about your feelings than listen to your eulogy.”

Did you know that nearly half of all American men say their online lives are more rewarding than their offline lives? With a world full of Andrew Tates, it can be easy to see why so many men get sucked into toxic, harmful ideologies that make them feel part of a tribe that they don’t get in their offline world. When it comes to talking about their feelings, men prefer being shoulder to shoulder rather than face to face. Traditional methods of making men talk about their feelings and opening up to be vulnerable can often have the adverse effect and make them retreat further into themselves. It’s no wonder that with a screen to hide behind, so many men feel they have a voice they’re yet to discover in the real world. What can we do about this? To us, it’s all about encouraging men to form new habits and feel accountable for themselves. Alongside this, trying to help them find a sense of community around like minded others that they can relate to and bounce off in a non toxic environment. Each man ultimately desires to be the lords of their own manor, to feel powerful, needed and valued. But that starts from within, by taking action on their own life and behaviour. Whether it starts with a focus on their personal relationships, their fitness, finding a better work/life balance. It doesn’t matter, as long as there are small improvements being made in their real lives that feel tangible. These improvements can then create a snowball effect of self development that increases self confidence and helps men to become part of communities around whatever issue they’re trying to improve in. Honestly, we at Pitstop don’t have the answers, but we’re trying to find them, and to help as many men as possible along the way. How much time do you spend on screens? https://lnkd.in/dtfYNB63 #worklifebalance #screentime

Incredible few days in the mountains getting all of our team and board together in person for the first time! We enjoyed some incredible inspirational talks from some guest speakers including Wizdom Powell,PhD, MPH, CMHC we learned more about the issues men currently face and how our product can continue to evolve to help change the lives of millions of men. And of course, we had to take in the views and enjoy some downtime and team building on the e-bikes (Board member Steve Davies was first to the top, closely followed by our SMM Sandy Clunas, who is writing this and isn’t at all bitter 😅) before taking a dip in a lake and heading back down the mountain Remote working has opened up so many opportunities, but there’s nothing like bringing the team together to bounce some ideas off each other and share some experiences! And of course, our founder Emmett Kilduff had to take a Pitstop and climb the big bike at the top of the mountain 📈😂
