We are a community development charity based in South Inner City Dublin. Our vision is to see an Ireland where all children and young people truly know their self-worth and can take full advantage of their potential. Solas Project equip and empower young people to overcome the limitations that may be imposed on them by social and educational disadvantage. We place a high value on character and motivation throughout our programmes of learning, mentoring, personal and social development. We support young people through the adventure of discovering their own abilities and self-worth.

Our Dublin office recently hosted a charity quiz, raising funds for local charity, Solas Project. With over 200 enthusiastic participants, the event raised €12,500 to support the charity's mission to empower young people through education and mentorship programmes. Some of our team took a road trip to Belfast recently for a jam-packed day of connection and learning. We started with a visit to Alternatives Restorative Justice in East Belfast, who visited us a few months back. It was great to hear more about their work and engage in mutual learning. We look forward to continued collaboration! Next, we heard Father Greg Boyle of Homeboy Industries speak. Founded in LA, Homeboy Industries supports people leaving gangs and provides meaningful employment. Much of what Father Greg shared resonated with our values of love and hope here at Solas Project: “The only thing that can scale a wall of shame is tenderness.” Thank you to The Turnaround Project for hosting such a brilliant event!
