Today we were at Shannon Airport to launch our Winter 2024 schedule, with 17 exciting routes as well as increased frequencies on 5 of our most popular routes - Kaunas, Krakow, London Stansted, Manchester, and Tenerife - delivering more regional growth ( 65% since pre-Covid) and giving customers in the mid-west even more choice at the lowest fares in Europe. Ryanair has operated to/from Shannon for the past 37 years, carrying over 20 million passengers to date - with our lucky 20millionth passenger travelling on this morning's Malaga service. We continue to invest heavily in Shannon and the wider region, including our 3 based aircraft ($300m), support of over 1,200 local jobs and our €10m state-of-the-art maintenance facility.

⚠ Abolish Austrian Aviation Tax ⚠ From Vienna today, we ask the Austrian Government to follow the example of Sweden and Italy and scrap the expensive Aviation Tax. With Austria currently considered an uncompetitive tourist destination, scrapping the tax would result in: ✅ Pre-Covid traffic levels being recovered ✅ Job creation ✅ More low-fare routes ✅ Greater Ryanair investment

🚫 Flight Cap in Rome Ciampino limiting Rome’s traffic ahead of Rome Jubilee 2025! We urge the Italian Govt to double the flights cap to 130 per day as more flights = more visitors, more traffic and more jobs. Today, we also asked the Italian Govt to scrap the Municipal tax so we can: ✈️ increase based aircraft ✈️ increase routes ✈️ Create thousands more highly-paid Italian jobs

Weekend chaos for Air Traffic Control - AGAIN! Staff shortages at UK NATS caused multiple flight delays and cancellations at Gatwick Airport yesterday (Sun 8 Sep). This is the latest in a long line of failures by UK NATS, yet again disrupting multiple flights and thousands of passengers at Gatwick. UK NATS CEO, Martin Rolfe, we again call for your immediate resignation. Were you affected? ATCruinedourholiday.com
