On site today in Newcastle West, Co.Limerick at the new SuDS compliant - Woodfield Manor development, built by DC Manor Ltd. Roadstone Ltd. Aqua Thomond - Limestone Blend used throughout the development, including a clever detail of using the product to distinguish additional parking areas within the estate. The use of Aqua Thomond - Natural acting as a border and separation between units too. This product did not have far to travel as our Paving Plant is only up the road in Gooig, Co.Limerick. This week Roadstone employees were rewarded with a summer treat when ice-cream vans arrived at locations around the country. There were smiles all round as staff enjoyed the sweet treat on their break! The sun even made an appearance to add to the occasion.

This new Volvo EC750 has just been delivered to Huntstown quarry where it will be put to work. Its pilot John Clarke put over 12,700 hours on its predecessor, which was also an EC750.

In 1970 CRH(Cement Roadstone Holdings) was formed through the merger of Cement Limited and Roadstone Limited. The newly formed Group was the sole producer of cement and the principal producer of aggregates, concrete products and asphalt in Ireland. This image captured the Roadstone Extraordinary A.G.M. A show of hands of the shareholders voted to merge with Cement Ltd. The Meeting was held at Jury's Hotel in Dublin. #Roadstone75

In 1968 Belgard Quarry lands were acquired by Roadstone, securing the most important stone reserve in the country. At one stage Belgard was the largest quarry in Europe, and acted as a major catalyst for the growth of the business. Belgard Quarry still operates as the largest Roadstone location in Ireland as well as serving as the business operation headquarters.
