The meeting addressed topics such as OR Briefing and Debriefing, Human Factors related to Safer Surgery, Hemovigilence, Patient Positioning, and Going Latex Free in the OR. There was also an opportunity to partake in a poster competition focused on operating room safety initiatives. The winner was chosen by attendees and we would like to once again congratulate the winner - Marinos Filippou (UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic) et al for the poster: “Introduction of nasal and skin decolonisation ... to reduce the rate of Surgical Site Infections due to Staphylococcus Aureus”.
