It's officially here! The new tipping legislation comes into effect today, October 1st. This means: 💵 100% of all tips left to a business must now be passed on to staff. 👥 Tips must be split fairly between staff members. 📃 A written tipping policy must be provided to all staff members. 📈 End-to-end transaction reports are needed for all tips left to the businesses. 📆 Tips must be paid out to staff within 30 days- or one calendar month. On Monday, we hosted our first event with the Restaurants Association of Ireland! We invited RAI members to a coffee morning/breakfast to learn more about the Irish tipping legislation. Laws around tipping can be difficult to navigate, so it was great to have a group info session to discuss the ins and outs of tips in hospitality businesses. A big thank you to the Restaurants Association of Ireland for helping us with this event- there will be many more to come! 🚀
