Recently, I had the privilege to represent the Heart Health India Foundation at the Unite Annual Summit (#GHHUnite) organized by the Global Heart Hub. Held in Dublin, Ireland, this year's gathering felt like a symphony of unity, with a shared mission to deepen our understanding of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and its interconnected conditions, including stroke, diabetes, kidney disease, and obesity.
The summit’s overarching theme, "Connections," "Unity," "Teamwork," and "Harmony," was beautifully depicted through an orchestra (Quatuor Annesci), where each member contributed to a seamless, collective performance. Just as every instrument plays a distinct yet complementary role, each participant—be it patient advocate, healthcare provider, or industry leader—brought unique strengths that harmonized into a unified vision for improved cardiovascular care. This orchestration of voices and expertise resonated deeply, symbolizing the power of collaboration in achieving a shared purpose. This is how healthcare should be approached: interconnected, unified, and patient-centered.
Key takeaways: Empowering patients who are partners in healing process; Healthcare often operates in silos, but our bodies don’t; they need a holistic approach; Cultivating hope is vital, as it bridges the isolation patients often feel; Creating hub and spoke models, where specialists from different fields collaborate at the grassroots level, ensures patients receive seamless care; Political, financial, and emotional investments in healthcare are crucial; Industry, Insurance, and Care Providers must think of “purpose with profit".
The power of voice—to advocate, connect, and inspire—was a key lesson from this summit. In the fight against CVD and related conditions, every voice matters. This summit reinforced that by speaking up, we create a supportive network that validates every patient’s experience. True healthcare isn’t just about treatments; it’s about building a world where every patient feels seen, valued, and heard.
Thank you Global Heart Hub and the sponsors for organizing this harmonious summit.

This week, Heart Health India Foundation had the honor of being represented at the Unite Annual Summit organized by the Global Heart Hub in Dublin. Special thanks to Achin BN Biyani, who brought HHIF’s voice to this powerful gathering. With over 165 delegates from 34 countries, the summit resonated with the spirit of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”—the world as one family—bringing together patient advocates, healthcare providers, and industry leaders to tackle cardiovascular disease and its interconnected conditions.
Key takeaways included the importance of empowering patients, fostering holistic healthcare approaches, and creating hope. This event underscored the need for healthcare that is unified, patient-centered, and purpose-driven. Grateful for this opportunity to unite for a healthier, heart-strong future.
