    The Lakes Distillery unveils ‘Boundless’, a new single malt whisky designed exclusively for Global Travel Retail. Matured exclusively in the finest first-fill Oloroso sherry-seasoned oak casks and designed with the art of élevage, it is a single malt whisky rich with bold layers of flavour and complexity. Sarah Burgess, The Lakes’ Whiskymaker, commented, “For the first time at The Lakes, we have selected only the finest first-fill Oloroso casks to shape Boundless’ maturation. Rich and full-bodied, think baked fruits, plums, and indulgent walnuts.  “Traditionally, our whisky is influenced by a variety of sherry-seasoned casks but for this travel retail exclusive, we focused solely on Oloroso – the backbone of The Lakes Single Malt.  “Using the élevage technique, we have elevated the whisky’s flavour profile. Combining European and American oak, we have created a complex and bold single malt that encourages exploration and wonder. “With nuances of orange oil and dried fruits from the European oak, layered with delicate wood spice, toasted oak, and subtle notes of vanilla from the American oak, Boundless represents our ambition to push boundaries. And we are thrilled to partner with Duty Free Global to bring this special whisky to the travel retail market.” Available exclusively in the UK, Europe, Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa Global Travel Retail from Duty Free Global, The Lakes Boundless is a testament to their dedication to innovation and modern craftsmanship.     COMPASS BOX INTRODUCES TRAVEL-RETAIL LIMITED EDITION:  THE TRAVELLING CIRCUS The First Travel Retail Exclusive by Compass Box, Inspired by the Magic & Grandeur of the Circus, Becomes Available at DFS Stores Within JFK and LAX Airports Inspired by The Circus, a Compass Box Limited Edition blend originally released in 2016, The Travelling Circus offers an enhanced peat presence courtesy of malt whisky from the Talisker Distillery and a parcel of peated blended Scotch whisky. The label design nods to the original The Circus, refreshing it through the filter of Futurism, which valorised movement and machines. To create The Travelling Circus, Compass Box Whiskymaking Director, James Saxon, assembled whiskies bold in flavor and rich in texture in order to capture the grandeur and vibrancy of a night at the circus. The majority of component whiskies have been aged in sherry casks, and The Travelling Circus exudes a deep fruitiness, with aromatic dry smoke and a silky flourish on the palate. Smokiness from malt whiskies from the Talisker and Caol Ila distilleries are layered with Speyside sherry character, finished with grain whisky from the now closed Port Dundas Distillery. “We are incredibly pleased with the arrival of The Travelling Circus,” says James Saxon. “The balance of sherry cask maturation and complex smokiness is something of a hallmark for Compass Box, and those who are fans of our whiskies will enjoy dissecting this latest composition.     BBC Spirits announces the first launch in Global Travel Retail of the Hinotori Japanese Whisky & Goldorak Anime Limited Editions in partnership with Everrich Duty Free Shop, Taiwan. This exciting new collaboration between BBC Spirits and Everrich Travel Retail Taiwan highlights BBC Spirits commitment to the innovative, ever-growing Asian markets. To celebrate Goldorak's highly anticipated return, BBC Spirits are thrilled to introduce the Goldorak Anime Limited Edition Whiskies at Everrich locations in Taiwan. Meticulously crafted for the connoisseur and dedicated fan alike, these exclusive releases offer a perfect blend of tradition and innovation, much like the anime itself! Goldorak is a fictional character created by mangaka Gō Nagai. He first appeared in 1975 in the manga "UFO Robot Grendizer". Saudi Arabian Manga Productions has announced the launch of Goldorak U in July, based on the Go Nagai series UFO Robo Grendizer which was last seen on screens 40 years ago.  BBC Spirits is also proud to announce the release of a third Godlorak Edition in the last quarter of 2024, showcasing the modern version of the Goldorak Robot (also known as 'Grendizer').
