Here is a little recap of our time at the Mid-West Sustainability Conference hosted by Shannon Chamber of Commerce conference yesterday. Sinéad Murphy (McMahon) from The The Shannon Airport Group highlighted the significant upgrades underway at Shannon Airport, demonstrating how eco-friendly practices can transform operations. Aoife Conway and Megan Staunton from Eli Lilly and Company showcased their impressive improvements on a global scale, proving that environmental responsibility knows no borders. Siobhán Duffy from Element Six emphasized the importance of integrating climate-conscious strategies within the diamond industry, while Diarmuid Collins from Edwards Lifesciences tackled the challenges of energy efficiency in the life sciences sector—showing us that overcoming obstacles is essential for progress. Douglas Joy from Heraeus Precious Metals shared simple yet effective solutions, like water recycling, that can make a big difference. These discussions underscore a vital truth: implementing climate action solutions isn’t just about saving the planet; it’s also a pathway to increased profitability for large industries. Embracing these practices is not only responsible—it’s good business. A heartfelt thank you to Helen Downes and all the team at Shannon Chambers for their tremendous efforts in organizing this conference and also the week long events preceding the event yesterday. Events like these are crucial for collaboration and innovation as we tackle the pressing challenges of our time. #ClimateAction #MidWestConference #Shannon Jerry Murphy T Declan O’Riordan Leon Clarke Claire Byrne Naomi Barker

It was fantastic to have our US team members, Brendan Place and Naomi Barker, join us as we strengthen our connections across the ocean.
