Well, what a weekend spending time with my Applegreen colleagues cycling 300km for the sick children who need support from Barretstown. I cannot tell you how overwhelmed I am with the support I have received from family, friends and some distant friends from years ago who have sent me a motivating note and donated. I’m blown away as we have raised over €100k for Barretstown. This is year one for me but my current colleagues have been doing this for a while and , as a business, Applegreen have partnered with this great charity and pledged to raise €1m! Thank you everyone. I feel great. 👍
86km done today. It was hard going. My colleagues got me through it. Still time to donate to such a great charity Barretstown. Dungarvan to Kilkenny tomorrow. 100km. https://lnkd.in/eGw6yhKp

Earlier this week, three members of our Marketing and Outreach teams attended the Creating More Joy SeriousFun Children's Network Conference in Dublin, Ireland! The conference kicked off with a tour to the Irish SeriousFun camp Barretstown! The next two days hosted large group discussions, break out sessions, and co-hort meetings. Our team got to share, strategize, and network with Marketing and Outreach teams from 8 different countries in order to grow programming, techniques, and story telling. On Day 3, Jenn and Mackenzie from our Marketing team presented to the group about a “marketing success” from our camp. They chose our S’More Camp T-shirt challenge to share how it spreads awareness and FUN in September in our community. The team said the conference sessions were innovative and inspiring... while the best part were the incredible connections that were made across the SeriousFun camps! 🍀 #SeriousFun #Barretstown

We are deeply grateful for the generous support of the Applegreen Charitable Fund for our inaugural '24 Summer Camp. The Barretstown campus provides life-changing therapeutic programmes for children with cancer and other serious illnesses, all free of charge. To discover how the partnership between Barretstown and Applegreen is making a difference to the lives of children with serious illnesses, meet Alex and Elayna, two incredible siblings who were born with a congenital bleeding disorder - Glanzmann's Thrombasthenia (GT) - that left them covered in swollen, massive bruises from head to toe. Like so many other children, they found hope and joy in Barretstown. Read their full story: https://bit.ly/3L0r4Mo A huge thank you for your continued support, Applegreen Charitable Fund. #Applegreen #InspiringStories #SummerAtBarretstown #TransformLives #MakeADifference #HopeForIllChildren #ChildhoodCancerJourney
