Hugh Nigel Kennedy, FRSE, FRAS, FBA (lahir 22 Oktober 1947) adalah seorang akademisi dan sejarawan abad pertengahan asal Inggris. Ia mengkhususkan diri dalam sejarah Islam Timur Tengah awal, Spanyol Muslim dan Perang Salib. Dari 1997 sampai 2007, ia menjadi Profesor Sejarah Timur Tengah di University of St Andrews. Sejak 2007, Ia menjadi Profesor Arab di SOAS, University of London.
