At Vena Energy, we believe that education and inspiration are key drivers of change. Our India team had the honour of hosting over 130 students across the KN Solar Site, Amreli Wind Plant, and TGP Wind Plant, offering them hands-on exposure to safety protocols, emergency response techniques, and the day-to-day operations of solar and wind power plants. This immersive experience not only enriched the students' theoretical knowledge but also ignited their aspirations in the renewable energy sector. It further underscores our commitment to advancing education and promoting community wellness. At Vena Energy, we’re committed to sparking the next generation’s passion for renewable energy careers. Recently, we introduced the Engineering Tomorrow programme to Wandoan State School in Queensland, Australia, giving students a chance to dive into renewable energy technologies right in their own community. Led by a Vena Energy engineer, students in Years 7-10 spent two days designing and building model wind turbines, solar arrays, and electric vehicles, gaining hands-on experience with technologies shaping Australia’s future. This program holds special significance, taking place near our Wandoan South Project, which includes a 125 MW solar farm and a 100 MW Battery Energy Storage System. “By offering this program, we’re not only building relationships with local schools in our communities but also inspiring students to pursue exciting careers in renewable energy,” shares Owen Sela, Head of Australia at Vena Energy. “It’s about investing in Australia’s future innovation capabilities, providing STEM opportunities in regional communities, and cultivating a diverse workforce ready to meet tomorrow’s energy challenges.” Find out more: https://lnkd.in/g9AHdQ9i #RenewableEnergy #STEM #Education #EngineeringTomorrow #VenaEnergy #Sustainability

The International Day of Climate Action serves as a powerful reminder of our collective responsibility to address climate change and its impact on our planet. How do we inspire the younger generation to take action? Our Vena Energy team in Indonesia collaborated with ambassadors from Jeneponto, where our Tolo Wind Farm is located, and enhanced the awareness and understanding of climate change and effective waste management for 107 high school students. Through interactive presentations and engaging discussions, students from two high schools explored the importance of Reducing, Reusing, and Recycling, learned ways to participate in school environmental programs, and discovered how they can embrace eco-friendly habits in their daily lives. Asia is poised to lead the global charge in wind power, with projections indicating over 60% of the world's offshore wind capacity by 2050 according to International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). The Japanese government aims to develop 10 million kilowatts of offshore wind power generation by 2030, increasing to 30 to 45 million kilowatts by 2040. At the Japan Wind Energy 2024 (JWE2024), one of Asia's leading and most influential wind energy event, major developers, investors, industry leaders, policymakers and institutions gathered to develop innovative and collaborative solutions that address the challenges faced in supply chain and market design in wind energy development. We are pleased to share that Yuki Hoshino, Group Head of Investment (North Asia-Pacific), and Gillen Harlouchet, General Manager of Execution, Offshore Wind at Vena Energy, have been invited to speak at JWE2024. During the session on Accelerating the Offshore Wind Farm from Planning to Commercialisation, Yuki shared expert insights into the vast opportunities in Japan’s wind energy targets. Meanwhile, Gillen contributed his valuable experience on Coping with Supply Chain Turbulence, offering solutions for smooth execution of offshore wind projects both locally and globally. The road ahead for wind energy is exciting, and at Vena Energy, we are committed to collaborating closely with our stakeholders to engineer a greener future. #VenaEnergy #Sustainability #OffshoreWind #PanelDiscussion

Vena Energy is pleased to announce the commercial operation of the 53 MW Kasama Solar Project in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. The project will have the capacity to provide clean, renewable energy to over 14,000 households annually, equivalent to avoiding approximately 38,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions each year and saving up to 54 million litres of water annually. Raul Rienda, Head of Japan at Vena Energy, remarked, “We are grateful to Ibaraki Prefecture, Kasama City, and our host communities for their support of the Kasama Solar Project. This project plays a crucial role in accelerating the energy transition. Since 2021, we have been actively supporting various projects aimed at establishing a sustainable city for the future, utilizing the corporate hometown tax to contribute to the regional revitalization of Kasama City. In 2023, our contribution was allocated to the operation of the mobile service ‘Moving City Hall,’ which was launched to maintain and improve administrative services amidst a declining population. Moving forward, as a leading company in the renewable energy sector, we are committed to realizing a zero-carbon society while preserving the natural environment and contributing to the local economy.” Read the full press release: https://lnkd.in/g93Tkyrb #VenaEnergy #Sustainability #GreenEnergy #CleanEnergy #GreenTransformation #Japan
