PT PLN (Persero) Achieves Record Financial Performance for the Third Consecutive Year Date: May 30, 2024 PLN has made history again, recording a net profit of Rp22.07 trillion in 2023, marking the highest profit ever and a hat trick of record profits for three consecutive years. Our achievement is the result of the comprehensive transformation we have been implementing over the past three years, includes transforming business processes, organization, human resources, and customer service, making PLN more agile, unified, strong, and resilient. PLN’s 2023 net profit was driven by total revenue of Rp487.38 trillion, with significant contributions from both electricity sales and beyond kWh businesses. PT PLN (Persero) Completes Three High-Voltage Electrical Infrastructures to Support IKN as a Forest City Date: June 2, 2024 PLN has successfully completed three high-voltage infrastructures to support the electricity system of the new capital city, Ibu Kota Negara (IKN) Nusantara. We are fully committed to supporting green electricity infrastructure in IKN. This will be the best capital city with advanced technology, utilizing clean energy supported by the latest AI-based smart technology and aesthetics. This milestone contributes significantly to the progress of IKN development and aligns with preparations for Indonesia’s 79th Independence Day celebration on August 17th, led by President Joko Widodo. A Knowledge Sharing session took place with the topic "Nature-based Solutions: Opportunities and Challenges for Reaching the Net Zero Emission Target by 2060”, hosted by PLN Corporate University. Mr L. Román Carrasco, as the speaker from National University of Singapore in the webinar, provided a wealth of knowledge and broad insights. We would like to express our deepest gratitude for Mr. L. Successfully Wrapping Up Eid Alert, PT PLN (Persero) Ensures National Electricity Supply during Eid 2024 Date: April 21, 2024 PLN effectively provided reliable electricity throughout the Eid alert period from April 3rd to April 19th, 2024. National peak load hit 42,948 MW during this period, with a capacity of 52,916 MW. Our diligent preparations and over 81,000 committed PLN Group members nationwide ensured a smooth Eid without electrical hiccups. During Eid, over 81,000 personnel manned 2,766 posts nationwide, equipped to handle any contingency. PLN's digital customer service via the PLN Mobile app played a pivotal role. Customers could report issues promptly, enabling swift resolutions. Ensuring National Power Alertness: Electricity Readiness for Eid 2024 Date: April 6, 2024 I’ve personally overseen the readiness and reliability of electricity for Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijriah at the National Power Alertness Assembly, centered at the Gas and Steam Power Plant (PLTGU) in Gresik, East Java. In preparation for Eid, we're on full alert until April 19th. PLN is committed to providing reliable electricity for the community. With peak loads estimated at 32,749 MW and supply capacity at 51,350 MW, we're well-equipped to meet Eid's electricity demands. Our proactive maintenance and digitalized monitoring ensure optimal performance and safety across all power infrastructures. With a capacity of 4.7 GW, PLTU Paiton is indispensable, providing 60% of East Java's electricity, especially vital during Eid's peak demand. As East Java welcomes holiday travelers, PLTU Paiton's reliability is paramount for a seamless festive experience. Digitalization enables proactive maintenance, leveraging over 5,000 operational sensors for optimal performance, ensuring efficiency and reliability amidst increased Eid demand. Ahead of Eid, PLTU Paiton's environmental efforts shine, earning the prestigious Gold Proper Award since 2017, reflecting its commitment to sustainability. Electrical System Readiness for Eid at GITET 500 kV Pedan Date: April 8, 2024 I've inspected the electrical transmission and distribution network at the Extra High Voltage Substation (GITET) 500 kilovolts (kV) Pedan in Klaten, Central Java, ensuring reliability for Eid in the Jawa-Madura-Bali region. Our goal is to ensure a safe and reliable power supply for Eid 1445 H. Why is GITET (Pedan) important? Because it connects the 500 kV power flow from Paiton, continuing to Kesugihan in the West, ultimately reaching Jakarta. PLN has conducted thorough inspections and maintenance, ensuring the electrical system's reliability and performance for a seamless Eid celebration. To all PLN field personnel, I wish you good luck.
