Promoting Inclusion, Understanding, and Company Values through MVV and D&I Month Last June, as being conducted in all Mitsui’s organizations globally, PT Mitsui Indonesia were celebrating MVV (Mission, Vision, and Values) and D&I (Diversity & Inclusion) Month, as an annual celebratory to promote our values, especially "Thrive on Diversity". In our Medium-Term Management Plan 2026, we have positioned "Inclusion" as an important initiative to promote the success of diverse individuals on a global scale as we aim to create new value worldwide. To keep promoting Mitsui's values especially related with D&I, all employees take part in group discussions/exercises. These activities encouraged employees to understand each other better, rethink Mitsui’s values, and collectively explore ways to incorporate our values into our actions to drive the transformation and growth of our company.  In addition to the group discussions, Mitsui also conducted online interactive inclusion workshop and shared real case studies of good practices. At Mitsui, as part of “One Mitsui” and “Local Playing Field” initiative, assignment to Mitsui affiliated companies is promoted to employees, with purpose to contribute further enhancing its value, develop new businesses or work on new initiatives. On February 12th, 2024, Mitsui reached an agreement to invest in LinkAja, an Indonesian based digital financial service provider. LinkAja is a subsidiary of 10 State Owned Enterprises (SOE), SOE subsidiary companies and 2 tech giants, which include Telkomsel, the largest mobile operator in Indonesia, Pertamina Retail, a subsidiary of PT Pertamina, a state-run oil & gas company, Grab, Gojek and other entities, ranging from financial services, infrastructure, and transportation. Since its launch in 2019, LinkAja has been providing digital payment solutions and its presence as a payment system platform for SOE products aim to drive the ecosystem of non-cash financial transactions and holistic financial inclusion in Indonesia. Mitsui & Co., Ltd investment is anticipated to significantly bolster its digital finance portfolio, particularly in the information & communication technology (ICT) and retail sectors, and provide opportunities for LinkAja and Mitsui to combine their various potentials and unique competitive advantages to contribute to Indonesia's digital economy. Celebrating Diversity at Movie Night Mitsui Indonesia Annual Party 2024 Mitsui Indonesia held an annual party on 8th March, a celebration dedicated to acknowledging the company's achievements and employee’s contributions with various engaging activities. This event highlighted corporate awards for divisions and teams that have shown excellent performance, a commendation ceremony for long-serving employees and retired employees. Additionally, the evening was enlivened with performances by the newly joined members, from staff to director, and the "Mitsui Bagus Band 2.0," which revived in-house music band with talent from within Mitsui. The Participants were enjoying a buffet dinner, fun games, prize giveaways, and live music, making it an entertaining occasion for all involved. This year's theme, “Celebrating Diversity at Movie Night,” encouraged all divisions to embrace their creativity by dressing up in each chosen movie styles and performing on stage. Several divisions with the best costume and performance were receiving prizes. Gladly, the enthusiasm of Mitsui people is also reflected through their efforts to bring characters from blockbuster movies to life. You can immediately recognize some movie characters from the photo. Moreover, the word “Diversity” is the key that reminds us of the beauty and strength that lies in our differences. Diversity is not just about tolerance or acceptance; it's about embracing the unique qualities that everyone brings to the table and recognizing the value of their contributions. Let us recommit ourselves to build a company - and a world - where diversity is not only celebrated but valued as the cornerstone of our collective success.
