The Panopticon Court of Tvarseni
A downloadable campaign setting
The skies hang low and overcast, spilling shadows over the moorland. The view from the high gabled window of the isolated manor house is a thick, tangled forest, rolling upward to mountain peaks like spears thrust up through the earth.
In the opulent halls of overthrown royalty, a master of a great estate and the mistress of its neighbor forge bargains to cast down their rivals; neither notices a leering figure, a faultless copy of the man, leaning out of a door further down the hallway and disappearing into the shadows.
Outside in the town, artists drink in well-appointed lofts to forget the demands of their patrons, while a floor below laborers and costers speak in low tones about recent disappearances, and glance meaningfully in the direction of the supposedly abandoned castle upon the high cliffs in the east.
This is Tvarseni.
The Panopticon Court of Tvarseni: Light Edition is a system-neutral campaign setting for fantasy tabletop RPGs. It is a dark, gloomy place full of intrigue featuring psychological and sociological horror.
The Light Edition contains only the information that is absolutely necessary to run games set in Tvarseni. The forthcoming Brilliant Edition will offer a host of additional information, including an entire second book for gamemasters only.
This project is currently in development; the highest priorities are more appropriate internal artwork and drastically improved layout. The text for Light Edition 0.3 is complete, it just still looks like a LibreOffice Writer document. Purchasers of the Light Version will be able to download future updates.
