🚶♂️🚆 It's the European Mobility Week, promoting clean, smart transport across Europe! We’re shining a spotlight on our DECA - Danube Energy Communities Accelerator ︱Interreg Danube project and how crucial energy communities are in driving sustainable mobility. 🌱 💡 Why energy communities in mobility matter? The mobility sector, being the top environmental impact contributor, urgently needs transformation. Energy communities empower citizens to embrace clean energy and support EVs and shared mobility. With the EU banning new combustion vehicles by 2035, the shift to EVs is inevitable, but challenges like limited shared fleets and charging infrastructure remain. Community-driven solutions can address these gaps, making sustainable mobility accessible and efficient for everyone. Check out how these solutions are taking shape! 👉https://lnkd.in/d59nWGxQ #SustainableMobility #EnergyCommunities #EuropeanMobilityWeek

A recent post by one of our project partners perfectly captures the spirit of cooperation we believe in. As part of the MEET project, focused on youth mental health, a study visit to Resita 🇷🇴 brought together representatives from 11 partner countries, including Ukraine. MEET project aims to build capacities for youth mental health promotion in formal and nonformal education and training through the development of inclusive and innovative tools and materials. As a result, the project will help to combat mental health problems among young people. We're proud to support such initiatives, especially vital for Ukrainian youth, whose mental health has been deeply impacted by events following Russian invasion. 💙💛 #YouthMentalHealth #MeetProject #Interreg
Last week, representatives of the Youth Space and the Department of Education, Youth and Sports of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration took part in a study and partnership visit to Resica (Romania) as part of the MEET project (MEntal WEll-being in Education for disadvantaged YOUth) within the framework of the Danube Region Program. The main purpose of the participation was to discuss joint initiatives to strengthen the mental health of young people, especially vulnerable groups, both in Ukraine and in other 12 partner countries in Europe. The MEET project aims to create an inclusive, innovative system of support for youth mental health and to develop cooperation between educational and social institutions. 👉 During the visit, we got acquainted with the work of the Romanian organization Nevo Parudimos, which is actively working to support socially vulnerable groups. We visited a children's social center where children are provided with professional educational support. In addition, they visited a social services center, where they had the opportunity to discuss work experience and dozens of successfully implemented projects with EU support. Several important topics were also discussed during the visit, such as the draft catalog of youth practices containing best practices in working with young people, personal development and educational counseling for young people, as well as opportunities for organizing trainings and networking seminars. During the field visit to the Social Work Department of the Municipality of Resica and the ABC Center, a transnational framework program was presented, which aims to improve coordination of work with young people and ensure inclusiveness of educational initiatives. They also discussed the creation of gamified tools (methods that use game elements) and innovative educational materials for working with young people. 💡 Thanks to this meeting, several ideas for future projects within the Erasmus program have already been developed, as well as the next steps for further cooperation and development of initiatives aimed at supporting young people and improving their mental health. #MEETproject #YouthMentalHealth #DanubeRegion #Interreg #EuropeanMentalHealthWeek

Kicking off the school year with synergy-building! This week, we held 8 online synergy-building and capitalisation meetings with our projects. We reflected on experience from the recent synergy building and capitalisation workshop in Belgrade and discussed the progress made so far. We explored: collaborations with other DRP projects and initiatives, opportunities to strengthen cooperation, synergy-building and capitalization activities within our working groups. Danube Region Strategy Priority Area Coordinators joined our meetings as well and we are looking forward to continue working together. It was an inspiring week of exchanging ideas, identifying collaboration opportunities, and learning from each other's experiences! #DanubeRegion #Interreg

Supporting Ukraine and Moldova on their path to 🇪🇺 has been a key priority for the #Interreg Danube Region Programme. After the outbreak of the war, addressing the humanitarian crisis in these countries became a priority too, leveraging the strength of our transnational cooperation. Through long-standing partnerships established in previous projects and within the Danube Region Strategy community, we were able to help where it was most needed.
