Introducing another #DIGIVITALITY Innovator, Bindworks s.r.o.! 🥳 They address common issues such as time-consuming manual documentation, errors, and lack of consistency, while also enhancing accessibility and data analysis. The app is currently implemented in six healthcare facilities in the Czech Republic, with plans for expansion and seeking partners for international growth and certification compliance. 🗣 Alumni Success Story Tendertec, a 2018 Reactor accelerator alumni, secures investment to launch Hestia, an AI Care Assistant! The Development Bank of Wales has led a £440,000 funding round with a £250,000 equity investment in Tendertec's AI platform, Hestia. This innovative technology merges heat sensing and machine learning to revolutionize caregiving at home, addressing critical shortages in the social care workforce. Hestia's privacy-centric platform, developed by Dr. Afroditi Konidari and Rui Zhang, detects up to 3x more fall-risk events than caregivers, without using cameras. This funding, from the Wales Technology Seed Fund II, alongside contributions from Puffin Point and other angel investors, will help Tendertec expand, scale its customer base, and enhance its AI R&D. Dr. Konidari highlights the urgent need for innovative solutions in the rapidly growing elderly population, aiming to bridge the gap in care services and support economic and job creation potential in the care sector.
