Success of Omnipack in I3 Call
We are proud that the Value4Pack project was one of the very few winning ones in the framework of the Interregional Innovation Investments Instrument (I3) Strand B Capacity Building proposals. Omnipack is part of an eminent consortium of 14 European food and packaging clusters from Poland, Spain, France, Italy, Finland, Sweden, Latvia, Lithuania, and Belgium.
Value4Pack originates from the S3 Partnership Food Packaging with the aim of strengthening the capacity, competitiveness, and resilience of stakeholders in the European food packaging value chain, in particular in less developed regions, and their ability to address societal, environmental, and economic challenges. Packaging is one of the most important links in the food supply chain, as it is an essential element in addressing the challenges of sustainable food consumption. In contrast, packaging faces major challenges when it comes to its effect on the environment.
The major task of Omnipack in the Value4Pack will be the increase of capacity for regional innovation actors, in particular SMEs, in the food packaging value chain, especially in less developed regions, to engage in interregional innovation projects and initiatives, develop new business ideas, and make concrete interregional innovation investments for validated solutions that meet their needs. This task is rather familiar to us since the management organization of Omnipack is integral part of DBH Group, focusing on sustainability for its 29-year operation.
We are looking forward to having our kick-off meeting in beautiful Szczecin, Poland, and cooperating with our partner clusters.
