Role Summary

This role provides accounting support for the Hong Kong and Japan entities. This role also works closely with our US, UK and China offices to ensure accuracy in Intercompany transactions.

Finance

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily finance and accounting functions
• Prepare regular regulatory filings
• Prepare regular management reports, such as financial analysis reports, annual budget, cost analysis reports
• Assist in audit and tax filings
• Assist in intercompany transactions and communication with group companies
• Assist in client invoicing
• Ad hoc tasks as assigned
  
  

Operations

• Positions reconciliation with custodian and client records
• NAV differentials management and error controls
• Portfolio expenses management and reconciliation
• New portfolio, mandate, and funds operational setup
• Portfolio Reporting
• Portfolio fee accrual, booking, and reconciliation
• Update pricing of individual securities
• Promptly respond to queries from the internal teams and provide solutions to the issues encountered by the teams
• Trade capture and trade settlement responsibilities – communicate with traders, brokers and custodians for all day-to-day trade settlement matters. Raise any potential settlement problems to immediate supervisor.
• Corporate Actions – obtain corporate actions information from different sources and maintain records in an accurate and timely manner.
  

Required Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics.
• Advanced certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is desired but not mandatory.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Able to present financial information clearly and concisely through written reports or presentations
• Strong teammate
• Proficiency in excel and PowerPoint is desired.,
• Experience in Bloomberg AIM, Bloomberg PORT and/or SimCorp is desired but not mandatory.
