Our first commercial invention revolutionized communication technology in 1847! 🚀 And it all started with a small rectangular box weighing about ten kilos... The pointer telegraph (or „Zeigertelegraf“) made it possible to transmit messages by sending letter after letter from one device to another, faster and more reliably than existing designs – marking the birth of modern telegraphy. This bold leap from optical to electric telegraphy transformed global communication. #SiemensHistory

#DigitalTwins are leading the way in developing and optimizing complex products and processes in a virtual environment. 🌐 This technology also extends to acoustics. Acoustical digital twins allow for precise #Simulation of sound environments, ensuring optimal auditory experiences in various settings, from concert halls to products in the #Automotive, #Aerospace, consumer goods, and marine industries. Our XR app, Sound of Science creates a digital twin of the renowned Grosses Festspielhaus of Salzburger Festspiele. Users can explore the hall's acoustics in a virtual replica. This allows for testing different configurations, like altering the orchestra layout or adding acoustic panels, without physically changing the venue.

In the 1950s, we created the first programmable recording studio. 🎙️ Today, nearly every piece of music is digitally produced and fine-tuned - but what if we could scientifically predict how these pieces sound in any location? That's exactly what our #XR application, Sound of Science, is all about. 🎼 In collaboration with Salzburger Festspiele, we created a #DigitalTwin of the iconic Grosses Festspielhaus to predict its unique acoustics in a virtual environment. Our immersive XR lets users experience how acoustics change by moving around the hall, altering the orchestra layout, or adding hypothetical acoustic panels. 🎻 This model not only enables precise acoustic simulations but also revolutionizes virtual testing setups, optimizing public utilization while preserving the unique sound of historical venues. Digital twins in acoustics open endless possibilities — for the cultural scene and any industry where sound is key! 🔑🔒

Imagine breaking a speed record that stands for half a century. 🤯 Over 100 years ago our electromotive railcar "Zossen" did that and paved the way for the future of high-speed rail. 🤝 Born from a visionary partnership between AEG and Siemens & Halske, this prototype underwent rigorous testing on a 23km track between Marienfelde and Zossen from 1901 to 1903. 🚀 In 1903, Zossen exceeded all expectations by reaching an astonishing 210 km/h – a speed record that stood unchallenged for 50 years. The pioneering spirit of Zossen continues to inspire our pursuit of future breakthroughs. #SiemensHistory | Siemens Mobility

Imagine an engineer testing aircraft designs digitally, instantly visualizing airflow adjustments with every tweak, or a factory streamlining operations virtually before making any physical changes. #DigitalTwins make these scenarios a reality, saving time and reducing waste. The #IndustrialMetaverse is transforming the way we innovate, with digital twins at its core. These virtual replicas of real-world assets enable us to simulate, test, and optimize with unmatched accuracy. The future of industry is digital, and it’s happening now 🚀
