ADM Capital has been a credit provider to mid-market corporates across Asia Pacific for 25 years. In that time, much has changed. Asia Pacific economies have become more sophisticated and their financial systems more resilient. Capital markets in the region have grown strongly and regulatory environments have improved beyond recognition. However, the sizeable funding gap for small and medium sized enterprises remains ever-present.

🌲 Sustainability Spotlight: Managing Environmental and Social Risk The intertwined nature of environmental and social factors means that strategies to address environmental impacts must also consider societal challenges, and vice versa. With Asia being home to the largest number of biodiversity hotspots, combined with our focus on financing SMEs across the region, we have an important role to play in supporting our portfolio companies to manage nature-related risks and opportunities. Asia is also one of the regions most affected by climate change, and as such, we are expanding our internal climate and nature risk assessment framework and analysis. We aim to foster diversity of thought and uphold human rights standards across our firm and in our investments. This enables us to not only mitigate risk but also be a force for positive change. For more insights on our climate and nature strategy and our views on human rights and DEI, please read our latest Sustainability Report 🔗: https://lnkd.in/gepd9Cvs #APAC #PrivateCredit #ESGIntegration #Environmental #Social

🌳 Sustainability Spotlight: Stewardship and Engagement Engagement is core to our ESG approach and we believe consistent and proactive engagement can impact a company's ability to deliver long-term financial returns for our investors. Through active engagement with our SME portfolio companies, and by utilizing in-house proprietary tools that we have developed such as the Carbon Calculator, we have been able to collect additional data points to proactively manage ESG risks and opportunities within our portfolio. By providing our portfolio companies, the majority of which are at the start of their sustainability journey, with additional resources and tools, we have observed an improvement in their reporting of environmental KPIs and governance practices. Seviora Holdings (Seviora) and ADM Capital have today announced a strategic partnership whereby Seviora will acquire a minority stake in ADM Capital, subject to regulatory approval and other conditions. Christopher Botsford, Founding Partner of ADM Capital, commented on the partnership: “APAC accounts for one third of global GDP and two thirds of incremental global growth, yet only seven per cent of global private credit assets is located in the region. This underscores the magnitude of private credit investment opportunities in this market, and we are excited to bring greater access for our and Seviora’s clients.” Seviora is a Singapore-headquartered independent asset management group with US$52 billion in assets under management. We are pleased to share our 2023 Sustainability Report, which demonstrates the work we have done over the past year to further enhance our ESG-integrated lending approach and capabilities. At ADM Capital, in addition to various sustainability topics, we have observed that nature-related issues have risen to the top of the agenda and have become a critical concern for our stakeholders. We recognise that Asia has a key role to play in halting this loss. In Asia, 63% of the region’s GDP is threatened by biodiversity loss and is exposed to risks from nature loss. Amidst Asia’s rapid urbanization and industrialization, SMEs that form the backbone of the Asian economies are often associated with activities such as agriculture, manufacturing, and resource extraction, which can disrupt natural habitats, ecosystems, and biodiversity. With our focus on financing SMEs across a range of sectors in the region, we have a responsibility to the planet and our investors to continue to proactively support our portfolio in managing nature-related risks and helping them to innovate and generate sustainable solutions. Learn more about our 2023 initiatives, achievements, perspectives, and the journey ahead for ADM Capital as we scale our impact in Asia by reading our latest Sustainability Report: https://lnkd.in/ge5Sb3ax Get in touch with us at [email protected] to continue the dialogue. #APAC #PrivateCredit #ESGIntegration #Sustainability #Climate #Biodiversity Lisa Genasci
