Free Flight
A downloadable game
You are a falconer, and you have a bird. The bond between you and your bird is based on trust. Your bird trusts you to feed and care for it... and you trust your bird to return when you set it free. After many long months of training, it's finally time to test that bond: the day of your first hunt together.
This is a lyric game for one person. Describe your bird and how you trained it, then launch it into its first free flight... and see what happens.

Your game rocks! I love how the Return stat is not the bird’s, nor the handler’s, but about the relation.

A table! Its story is an hour's podcast of experiences. The mechanics that are introduced come up in play as lovely accomadations and set pieces. Wonder abounds.
So well researched, I learned a lot about falconry by playing this! Would recommend :)
Ultimate falconer game. I've seen falconers do demonstrations, but didn't really know much about falconry. This was clearly written by someone who knows about the subject.
The execution is beautiful. There's no guarantee of success, and actually, you have about as much chance that something bad will happen as you have of something good happening. Some of the outcomes where things don't go well are the most interesting and emotional. I was almost a little disappointed that I happened to roll a 10 (the most successful outcome) on my first playthrough (though also happy my red-tailed hawk had such a successful day).
Spoilers in the "describe your bird" section of the image below.
I really enjoyed this peak into a world I know nothing about. This game really conveys that feeling of a first test of a relationship between two very different beings. I enjoyed it immensely!
