Moses Fasanya wani Kanal ne ɗan Najeriya ne daga garin Ibadan na jihar Oyo wanda ya taɓa riƙe muƙamin shugaban mulkin soja na jihar Abia (Agusta 1996 – Agusta 1998) a lokacin mulkin soja na Janar Sani Abacha.[1] Daga nan ya zama shugaban mulkin soja na jihar Ondo a cikin watan Agustan 1998, inda ya miƙa mulki ga gwamna Adebayo Adefarati a cikin watan Mayun 1999.[2]

Ya jawo wahalhalu a jihar Ondo ta hanyar yin katsalandan wajen gudanar da zaɓen shugaban gargajiya na Owo, lamarin da ya janyo hargitsi da kashe-kashe da ɓarnata dukiya.[3] A cikin watan Oktoban shekarar 1998, an kashe ɗaruruwan mutane a rikicin da ya ɓarke tsakanin ƴan ƙabilar Ijaw na yankin Akpata da ƴan ƙabilar Ilaje da ke neman aiki a wani sabon rijiyoyin mai da aka gano. Fasanya ya sha wahala wajen samun yarjejeniya da shugabannin Ijaw kan hanyoyin daidaita lamarin.[4] Ya tura sojoji da ƴan sanda yankin a wani yunƙuri na maido da zaman lafiya.[5] A cikin watan Fabrairun 1999, mataimakan Fasanya sun zalunce su tare da tsare ƴan jarida goma sha biyar da ke bayar da rahotannin taron shugabannin Jihar Odu’a Investment Company a Akure.[6]

A cikin watan Maris ɗin 2009, wata tankar mai ta kama wuta a Obadore kusa da Jami'ar Jihar Legas. Tsohon gwamna Fasanya ya yi asarar kayayyakin bugu da sauran kayayyaki na sama da Naira miliyan 3 da ya ajiye a shaguna goma na garin da gobarar ta tashi.[7]
