Gregory Keng Strasser

My name is Greg and I am a director and writer of theatre and video games. 

As a director, I recently served as the Allen Lee Hughes Directing Fellow at Arena Stage. Prior to that, I served as the Artistic Apprentice at the Laboratory for Global Performance and Politics which culminated a year-long project in Thailand focused on teaching, performance, and development of new work. As a writer, I've received commissions from Arena Stage ("May 22, 2020," and the upcoming "The 51st State,"), Rorschach Theatre, 4615 Theatre Company, and the Brighton Center for the Performing Arts. My writing has also been showcased by Adventure Theatre MTC, with the aforementioned organizations, and in literary publications.

I am interested in narrative-driven stories that follow the journeys of the human heart. I love stories about transformation - radical, physical, intimate, and spiritual. I am drawn to epic scale, sociology, linguistics, myth, and geopolitics.
