🌍 This week the TRIERES project consortium and its partners gathered in Innsbruck for the #HyWest Hydrogen Valley workshop and the 1st TRIERES General Assembly meeting at the Green Energy Center Europe in #Innsbruck, Austria. The workshop was hosted by FEN Research GmbH, who presented the national green hydrogen valley #HyWest regarding green hydrogen production, storage, logistics and use in industry and heavy-duty transport mobility. FEN Research showcased a complete hydrogen value chain by presenting their national and European projects. Among these projects, HySelect EU-Project and MOST-H2 were presented using roll-ups, posters and leaflets. 📊 Insightful presentations were delivered by Dr. Ernst Fleischhacker, Nikolaus Fleischhacker, Niusha Shakibi Nia and guests from Hydrogen Partnership Austria, Magdalena Lindl and WIVA P&G Margherita Matzer. Many significant subjects were raised during the meeting. In total a range of important topics were covered, including the project's progress, challenges, implementation matters, regulatory framework and future steps in hydrogen applications. This workshop was complemented by a visit to the MPREIS Hydrogen project as part of the regional #HyWest hydrogen valley in Tyrol. ✔ The JIVE3 project was successfully completed last month, with the final two stops of the Fuel Cell Bus being quite impressive. The bus was demonstrated to key players of the transportation and energy market and conducted demo routes in various cities, highlighting the dynamic potential of #hydrogen as a catalyst for the energy transformation of urban transportation. 📌 On 30/05 in Athens, a national workshop was held at the O.SY. modern Bus Depot in Renti, co-organized by CluBE-Cluster of Bioeconomy and Environment of Western Macedonia and O.SY. S.A. (ΟΔΙΚΕΣ ΣΥΓΚΟΙΝΩΝΙΕΣ Α.Ε.), with the support from Coral Gas, Hellenic Hydrogen, and Motor Oil as the coordinator of the European project TRIERES - Greek Hydrogen Valley, under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. The event showcased the latest developments in #sustainablemobility, #cleanenergy, and #greenhydrogen, featuring discussion panels and speakers from the organisers aforementioned and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family, Growthfund, Hydrogen Europe, Clean Hydrogen Partnership, JIVE/ERM, AVIN OIL, Latvian Hydrogen Association, HEAVENN, CaetanoBus, ZeroBus Ltd and TOYOTA HELLAS S.A. (Member of Inchcape Plc Group).   Konstantinos I. Chatzifotis, EU Affairs Manager of Motor Oil Group and Project Coordinator, discussed the ambitious plans of #MotorOil for creating hydrogen production, transportation, and distribution infrastructure. He noted that the collaboration with O.SY. is accelerating the energy #modernization of urban mobility through the use of technologically advanced fuels in public transportation. 📌 On 5/6 Patras celebrated the #WorldEnvironmentDay by organizing the "ECOFORUM2024: Energy, Green Innovation & Sustainable Development: Creating a better future". The Deputy Minister of Infrastructure & Transport, Mrs Christina Alexopoulou opened the event which featured a series of sessions with discussions and exchanges on sustainable development, urban mobility, energy, green innovation, recycling, circular economy, environmental protection and climate change from various stakeholders, including local and regional government representatives, industry leaders, academics, and technical experts. A panel discussion on “Sustainable Urban Mobility & Energy” was dedicated to disseminating the JIVE 3rd H2 Bus Roadshow and discussing the potential benefits of renewable hydrogen as a clean energy carrier for the urban mobility sector. 🌍 ECOS 2024 - Rhodes Island | Conference Highlights 🌍 TRIERES - Greek Hydrogen Valley participates at #ECOS2024 conference, where critical discussions are held on overcoming complex, intersectional challenges in sustainable energy systems. The conference is chaired by Mr. Sotirios Karellas from the National Technical University of Athens and who serves as a partner of the TRIERES - Greek Hydrogen Valley project. Konstantinos I.
