🔎The findings of the 2023 #FABLEScenathon are highlighted in the 9th edition of the Sustainable Development Report #SDR by the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network. Pathways for all countries include the Current Trends, National Commitments and Global Sustainability scenarios. 🌱FABLE team Greece - led by #AE4RIA - participated for the first time in 2023 and a summary of the results is available in a separate report. Adhering to national and EU commitments reduces GHG Emissions from Agriculture by 75% compared to Business-as-Usual driven mainly by increased Crop & Livestock productivity and behavioral shift to healthier dietary patterns. The Greek FABLE team is currently working on tailoring built-in scenarios to idiosyncratic characteristics of the Greek Agri-Food system to develop pathways towards net zero by 2050. Read the report: https://lnkd.in/d42MrtVi The pathways for food and land-use systems in #Greece were developed by Prof. Dr. Phoebe Koundouri, Prof. Chrysi Laspidou, Dr. Mariatzela Chatzigiannakou, Dr. Konstantinos Dellis, Dr. Alexandra Ioannou and Dr. Conrad Landis

Follow our CARMINE Project, a major EU research project at the forefront of addressing the escalating challenges posed by #climatechange, particularly in European metropolitan regions. I am excited to lead the research for the Athena Research Center as the Principal Investigator of the project!
Where is CARMINE developing its innovative solutions?🌿 The CARMINE Project has eight Case Study Areas, with diverse socio-economic profiles, types of communities, vulnerabilities, climate impacts drivers and geographical distribution across Europe. 📍 They're located in Prague (CZ), Leipzig (DE), Funen-Odense (DK), Athens (EL), Barcelona (ES), Bologna (IT), Brașov (RO), and Birmingham (UK). We establish Living Labs there to analyse climate risks and socio-economic vulnerabilities. They co-develop Digital Twin use cases, co-design decision-support tools and propose climate-resilient development pathways. 📍 Did you know? The Consortium members of CARMINE are from 11 different countries ! Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. #CARMINEproject #Carmine #ClimateAdaptation #ClimateResilience #MissionAdaptation #HorizonEurope

Recap of the EXCEED Second Transnational Project Meeting 🌟 We are happy to share the highlights of our recent hybrid meeting, held on June 18-19, 2024, at the Institut Escola del Treball de Barcelona, in Spain. This partners meeting marked another milestone in our journey towards excellence in the vocational education and training. Day 1: Our first day was a comprehensive overview of the EXCEED project. We began with a warm welcome to all participants, both in person and online. The session opened with an insightful presentation of the project's current state, including our implementation progress, timeline, and key results. This was an invaluable opportunity to reflect on our achievements and identify areas for further development. Later in the day, we delved into the second workshop on the design of innovative curricula. This session was a collaborative effort where participants shared ideas and strategies for developing forward-thinking educational pathways. The afternoon was dedicated to a workshop on methodological guidelines for curriculum design, ensuring that our approaches align with the project’s objectives and principles. Day 2: The second day was equally enriching, starting with a joint session that brought together partners and policy board members. This session was a dynamic “World Café” where we connected policies and strategies to the internationalization of VET, aligning them with local needs. The discussions were robust and highlighted the importance of integrating policy perspectives with practical training needs. We also looked ahead to the future impacts of the EXCEED project. This session allowed us to forecast the potential benefits and influence of our work, reinforcing our commitment to making a significant difference in vocational education. Stay connected with us for more updates and future events. Together, we will continue to shape the future of vocational education and training! Centoform AMSP ČR ART-ER S. cons. p. a.
