🚀 Exciting times for the ESCALATE project! We've just reached the halfway point of our journey. Last week, all Work Package leaders had a productive meeting with the European Commission Project Officer to review our progress, results, risks, and the road ahead. The meeting was a fantastic opportunity to reflect on the hard work and achievements so far, and to set clear, actionable goals for the second half of the project. Exciting Milestone Achieved! In June, we reached a significant milestone in our journey towards sustainable energy solutions. We successfully delivered our advanced fuel cell to the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) Laboratory for final assembly, calibration, and validation. This achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and innovation of our entire team. Collaborating with the esteemed researchers at Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) has been an incredible experience, and we are eager to see the results of this next phase of development. The calibration and validation processes at Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) will ensure that our fuel cell meets the highest standards of efficiency and reliability, bringing us one step closer to revolutionizing the energy sector. The doctoral ceremony on Tuesday signaled the end of a long period at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. After 4.5 years as a PhD candidate and many long hours of scientific research, I am officially a Doctor. I am very grateful to my supervisor, Professor Leonidas Ntziachristos, for his guidance over the years, and to my family and friends who supported me unconditionally during this difficult yet beautiful journey. Our final review meeting was held online on 4th July 2024, marking the successful conclusion of the EMERGE EU Project. During the meeting, our partners presented their work from the last reporting period, shared results, and gave an insightful overview of the entire project, which concluded at the end of May 2024. We were privileged to have our project officer as well as the reviewers, our advisory board, and other stakeholders join us, enriching the discussions with their valuable insights.
