The filling of the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Storage and Gasification Station, developed by enaon EDA, the Hellenic Gas Distribution Company, a subsidiary of Enaon from the Italgas Group, was successfully completed at the Industrial Park of Kastoria. This project aims to bring natural gas to the areas of Kastoria and Argos Orestiko, which will be the first regions in Greece to be supplied with LNG. In Kastoria, the transport of LNG was carried out by DEPA Commercial using a specially designed LNG truck equipped with an insulated tank to keep the gas in liquid form. This refueling marks a milestone in DEPA's strategy to deliver natural gas across Greece, particularly to remote areas not connected to the national grid, supporting the country’s energy transition and climate goals.
