Εκφράζουμε τα ειλικρινή συλλυπητήρια  στην οικογένεια του Δημήτρη Λουκόπουλου. Υπήρξε μια εμβληματική προσωπικότητα της Αιματολογίας που θα μνημονεύομε με  ευγνωμοσύνη, εκτίμηση και σεβασμό καθώς  και  με την υπόσχεση να μεταλαμπαδεύσουμε τον τρόπο σκέψης του, το όραμά του, την παρακαταθήκη του στις επερχόμενες  γενιές Αιματολόγων. https://lnkd.in/dbespKT7

Με βαθιά θλίψη ενημερωθήκαμε για την απώλεια του Καθηγητού Δημήτρη Λουκόπουλου. Ο Δημήτρης Λουκόπουλος εξετέλεσε καθήκοντα Γενικού Διευθυντού του #ΙΙΒΕΑΑ από το 2002 έως το 2005. Ηγήθηκε του Εργαστηρίου Αιματολογίας του ΙΙΒΕΑΑ από το 2002 μέχρι λίγες μέρες προ του θανάτου του με συνέπεια και όραμα. Εκφράζουμε τα θερμά και ειλικρινή μας συλλυπητήρια στην οικογένειά του. Η Εξόδιος Ακολουθία θα γίνει την Πέμπτη 11.7.2024 και ώρα 10:30 στον Ιερό Ναό Μεταμορφώσεως του Σωτήρος στο Χαλάνδρι.

Είναι ένα άκρως ανταγωνιστικό πρόγραμμα, το οποίο απαιτεί διεπιστημονική γνώση σε θεωρητικό επίπεδο. Εμπεριέχει τη σύγχρονη θεματολογία αιχμής στις βιοεπιστήμες και στην ιατρική, ενώ ταυτόχρονα ανταποκρίνεται στις προκλήσεις της νέας τεχνολογίας που χρησιμοποιείται στα πεδία της διαγνωστικής, των γενετικών αναλύσεων και των κλινικών μελετών-δοκιμών. It was a fantastic meeting and our work was shortlisted for an oral and a poster presentation! I am very excited to have participated in EISG 2024 conference held in Helsinki and had been offered the opportunity to present our work. 👏Congratulations to Yassemi Koutmani and G. Ellinas from Biomedical Research Foundation Academy of Athens ! Their image "Inside a human Cortical Organoid" is among the top 10 shortlisted images amongst, over 1,000 according to the number of entries, of the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies - FENS -EJN image competition 2024. The image has been selected to be featured on the FENS website and the FENS Forum 2024. The FENS Conference takes place every 2 years and is the largest Neuroscience conference in Europe with over 7,000 attendees! This year it will be held in Vienna. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/daWK8uKP

Last week I had the opportunity to attend the 3rd ESN-ISN summer school "Neurodegeneration, Inflammation & Cancer" at Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens, chaired by Prof. Dimitra Mangoura . I had a great time with young neuroscientists from all over the world, enjoying inspirational talks and learnt so much from the cutting-edge technologies lab modules. It was a pleasure to discuss my recent work on #metabotyping of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis patients, which was awarded for the best poster presentation. I am extremely grateful for this experience and to be part of such a vibrant comunity. Ολοκληρώθηκε με μεγάλη επιτυχία τo 3o Ευρωπαϊκό Επιμορφωτικό Πρόγραμμα με τίτλο Νευροεκφύλιση, Φλεγμονή και Καρκίνος (Advanced School Entitled “Neurodegeneration, Inflammation, and Cancer”) για Διδακτορικούς Φοιτητές και Μεταδιδάκτορες της Ευρωπαϊκής Εταιρείας Νευροχημείας European Society for Neurochemistry-ESN και της Διεθνούς Εταιρείας Νευροχημείας - ISN, που διοργανώθηκε 2-8 Ιουνίου 2024 από ερευνητές και ερευνήτριες του #ΙΙΒΕΑΑ. Συγκεντρώθηκαν 24 νέοι και νέες επιστήμονες, επιλεγμένοι με βάση την ακαδημαϊκή τους επίδοση, από ευρωπαϊκές και γειτονικές χώρες. Είχαν την ευκαιρία να ακούσουν διαλέξεις και να εκπαιδευτούν σε εξειδικευμένα εργαστήρια από διακεκριμένα μέλη της ακαδημαϊκής κοινότητας του ΙΙΒΕΑΑ και πανεπιστήμια της αλλοδαπής. Επίσης είχαν την ευκαιρία να παρουσιάσουν τις εργασίες τους και να επισκεφτούν την Ακρόπολη και το Μουσείο.
