🙌 We are excited to announce that one of our projects which has resulted from the AI4Copernicus Open Calls are progressing well beyond their typical obligations! We congratulate the funded project ESFA (Empirical Seasonal Forecasts for Agriculture), supported by Geoskop, as it has been selected amongst six space tech start-ups to be part of the incubation programme of the ESA BIC Barcelona. https://lnkd.in/dSJMa94q
L’ESA BIC Barcelona, el centre d’incubació d’empreses de l’European Space Agency - ESA a Barcelona, ha seleccionat sis empreses tecnològiques de l’àmbit de l’espai per formar part del programa. Les empreses seleccionades, que rebran 50.000 euros per al desenvolupament del seu producte o servei, tindran a partir d’ara fins a un màxim de dos anys d’incubació. Són les següents: Circe Smart Navigation Solutions, EMC Barcelona, Geoskop, Kreios Space, SLIMOp Space i Xiroi. Impulsat per la Generalitat de Catalunya en el marc de l’Estratègia #NewSpace, la #UPC i el PARC MEDITERRANI DE LA TECNOLOGIA SL, el programa permetrà incubar fins a 18 empreses en tres anys. 📢 We are delighted to announce that AI4Copernicus will hold a half-day tutorial on 📅 6 November at 14.00-17.30 CET, during the Big Data from Space 2023 - BIDS Conference, in Vienna 🇦🇹 ❗ Researchers from project coordinator NCSR "DEMOKRITOS" and partners SatCen, RSLab UniTrento, European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts and Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon will be there! The tutorial is titled: AI4Copernicus tools and methods for bridging #AI and #EO 🛰️ and will showcase the main technological assets of AI4Copernicus as well as its methodology and tools for linking the DIAS and AI-on-Demand Platform through selected use cases.
