Plotly September Virtual Hangout

Bringing Passionate Python Developers Together

September TBD

We’re proud and lucky to have a thriving community of enthusiastic Plotly users. Plotly Community Manager Adam Schroeder started a new initiative called “Plotly Hangouts”. The casual session will occur every month and feature an interactive interview with a Plotly Community member with live audience Q&A. (Think of it as a virtual fireside chat!)

August's session featured Jeff Butler, Executive Director - XVA Trading at CIBC. Working at one of the leading North American financial institutions, Jeff leverages his knowledge of Plotly and Dash to create dashboards that deliver insights and custom analytics to the business. In a conversation with Adam, Jeff shared the following:

  • Combining Portfolio Management and Data Science
  • Summarizing large, complex data sets in an interactive way for a broad spectrum of users
  • Transitioning into data science from a background in math, science, and finance

We are preparing for the next community hangout! Sign up to be notified of the date and speaker.
