The current low intensity green can possibly mistaken for a preview tally indication, especially when the operator tally brightness is set very low.

Since blue isn't used in normal tally indications, I changed the idle colour to blue in both profiles.

I don't like the blue color. 😕

Blue on the operator light is always used as an indicator, that the tally is not working properly and should not be trusted. And it should be used exclusivly for reporting errors. The idle light is the complete opposite of that: It was not there initially, but added so people know it can be trusted, even if the light stays out.

You can also turn off the idle state completely in the settings. Would that be an option for you?

I can see your argument. For me, blue was the "least bad" option, since it isn't used in any colour scheme to indicate an important state and the error indication uses flashing blue. I'd rather have a operator/talent watch a tally longer than needed than miss a "preview" indication.

I still think red, green and any colour close to it should be reserved for tally states only since its very easy to misinterpret "idle" for "preview" (and the only way to differentiate between "idle" and "preview" would be to either turn off "idle" or blinding the operator/talent by increasing the brightness).

Maybe white would be a better colour for "idle", but I am not sure if that colour would render clearly on RGB-LEDs at low brightness. I am also unsure about using any colours from other schemes to avoid confusion if multiple schemes are used in one installation (one operator might interpret it an "preview" as "idle" and vice versa).
