We need to make a list of paths that need to be cleaned up in case one wants to remove homebrew / root-related stuff from their TV.

  • /var/luna/preferences/webosbrew_*
  • /var/luna/preferences/devmode_enabled
  • /var/lib/webosbrew/*
  • /media/cryptofs/apps/usr/palm/services/com.palmdts.devmode.service/start-devmode.sh
  • /home/root/.*_history
  • /home/root/.ssh
  • /home/root/unwritable
  • /media/developer (default app data paths itself should be removed properly by standard appInstallService/remove call)
  • /var/luna-service2-dev - this doesn't seem to be cleaned up automatically when devmode session expires

Also factory reset behaviour needs to be studied - maybe that's the best solution.

Required steps could also be bundled in a convenient script deployed together with homebrew channel.

Many thanks. Tell me what exactly needs to be removed from / var / luna-service2-dev?
I have there now folders
api-permissions.d manifests.d services.d client-permissions.d roles.d
, but I don't know what was there before the installation.

These .d subfolders should be empty after removal of all developer mode apps. These should not affect the system.

Can you make an app called either “Break the bottle”, “Spill!”, “Uno reverse card”, or “Changed my mind.” that removes all files in case you are servicing the tv or have kids that will ruin this. Choose the name, then I will make a special icon for it.
