Memory usage #38
Comments
Can you link to the image and post your display resolutions? |
I also did fix a memory leak in the latest commit if you haven't rebuilt lately. |
Yeah sure, I'm using the following picture: https://i.imgur.com/btW1Ict.gif And I'm using the latest commit, installed via the aur. My resolution: 1920x1080 |
Same here, oguri takes around 250MB of memory for an "animated" wallpaper of 8 pictures accounting for 41MB. I just built it from the repo and it behaves the same. |
For me, with pixelart takes up to 4gb (latest version), doesn't matter which filter I'm using... Without oguri, river browser takes 1gb, when oguri is opened then memory usage jump up to 5,5gb |

Thanks for the application! Great work, however I've been experiencing huge memory usage while using it.
I set the background to a 300KB large gif, but oguri uses more than 3GB of memory. I understand that you cache the frames, but I believe this is a bit too much. I'm using arch linux, on wayfire.
