It seems that for the time this issue is written down the rclone doesn't have any option or feature to read the current state of a connected remote application (google drive, dropbox). What we need is to have the option to read the current sync status of any connected remote, where status could be any information like:

  • connected/offline
  • synced/syncing
  • uploading/downloading

Consider using a work-around like fsnotify to watch the folder of every remote for changes or so or via checking the VFS mode.
