Thank you for filing a bug against the Paper theme, however please try and provide the following information while doing so:

  • the GNOME/GTK version that is on your system: 2.24.30-1ubuntu1 - 3.18.9-1ubuntu3
  • which Linux distribution you are running: Ubuntu 16.04
  • the version of Paper you are using: 2.1.0

Hi

First of all, thanks for this awesome theme.

The bug I want to report is about the icons, because is a bit annoying for me to see custom made "material design system icons" (yeah, in quotes), when there are plenty of resources all over the web that are free to use or even open-source.

For example, this site has all possible icons from the official iconset by Google, with a lot of other extra icons that are properly done.

I really want to see proper icons in the theme, because as I already said, is a bit annoying that it's supposed to be material design, but it doesn't matches it completely.

Example:
captura de pantalla de 2016-07-20 10-28-25

Proper downloads icon: https://materialdesignicons.com/icon/download
Proper images icon: https://materialdesignicons.com/icon/image
Proper account/person icon: https://materialdesignicons.com/icon/account
Proper trash/delete icon: https://materialdesignicons.com/icon/delete
Better looking android studio icon: https://materialdesignicons.com/icon/android-studio

And I could go on...

(Really disappointed if you think "material design" are just guidelines not rules. I'm not saying they are rules but consistency and matching to the official iconset will make this theme completely material design.)

Thanks for reading and for the theme. Best of luck.
